Farberware Classic 8 Inch Tripe-Riveted Stainless Steel Chef Knife Black Handle

This 8 inch Chef's knife from Faberware for only $6.00 is a wonderful .bargain. It isn't too heavy and it's well balanced. The knife is very sharp and requires just a slight pressure to cut through. The handle is triple riveted. I highly recommend it.

i needed a knife and didn't realize the size of the blade. its large but surprisingly it works on fruit vegetables and meat. i recommend it for refreshing your kitchen's housewares

Easy to handle and very sharp. Everything you want a knife to be.

This is a nice heavy knife and I think it will do a good job on the slicing but make sure you wash it when you first get it there's a little plastic tip on the end of the knife so that it doesn't jab you when you're taking it out of the package make sure you remove that.

When I seen that this knife is only $6.97 I was absolutely shocked! Like where else can you get a great quality knife for that amount! Its large so works great for cutting larger fruits like your watermelons, melons, pineapples, or even just chopping multiple items such as a bunch of celery. Great for all your cooking needs and makes a perfect gift for anyone! Your mama, your sister, your father, grandma, auntie, friend, coworkers, and neighbors. The only thing since it is a larger sharp knife would be nice is if it came with a cover for storage for safety. Other than that small imperfection for me I loved the product overall.

I like this knife. It came in time, and is very sharp and does what its supposed to do. My only gripe with this is that it comes with no cover or blade guards. I wish this came with a full blade guard. Other than that I like it!

I bought this wanting to make sweet potatoe chips on my Church vegan fat but sadly there's only one height with no adjustment. Overall, the price point, it's an excellent buy. I also, don't like the hand guard and for some reason, mine didn't come with instructions so I winged it.

Since they were on clearance, I chose to buy 2 of these Farberware knives. Big mistake. The handles are thinner than a typical knife handle and feels like it's hollow plastic. And this causes the knife not to be balanced - all the weight goes down to the tip of the blade. Also, the spine of the knife is much thinner than the knife I hoped to replace. The ultimate test was to use it to slice an onion for dinner. The cutting experience was worse than cutting the onion with my older knife! This is unacceptable. It was worthy of being labelled a dollar store knife, which made this knife $5 more than it's worth. I need to get a couple of good QUALITY whetstones and sharpen my older knives myself. Lesson learned.

This review is not for the Knife it's for the delivery service, I asked for a Cleaver and for substitute asked for other Cleaver knife, they could have sent any Cleaver out of 10 different Cleavers available at walmart but sent me this Knife. Now I have to return this and order other Cleaver but because of $35 min I can't order it for delivery, now I have to go to walmart to get it, if I can go to walmart why should I pay for walmart and waste my money. Worst service.
