This was purchased to replace a 10 in pain that I had scratched the coating in. Weight is expected, Handle size allows for good grasp. Very sturdy, handle bolts are tight. I washed it before using (as per instructions and common sense). Non metal utensils *only* Do not try to cut food while it is in the pan, you may scratch through the ceramic coating. Does not come with a lid. (I considered a pan with a lid until I saw the prices. I have a 14 in deep pan with a lid for browning meat and other foods, so that covers that.) This was purchased for personal use and was not part of any free sample for review, rebate, coupon, nor any other form of remuneration. Nor do I receive any benefit or reward for this review.
I have used this frypan a dozen or so times and I love it. It cleans so easily with a little soap and hot water. No dishwasher and it still looks brand new. I do not use a high heat ....the pan is thinner than normal for me and yet on Medium heat it has browned everything beautifully.
Great non stick pan. I noticed a few reviewers complained about the non stick not staying as effective, before I bought. I needed one so I went ahead, I am glad I did, using no scrub products such as silicone/plasticware spatula and sponge on it worked just fine. I use it 5-6 days a week, it still works like the first day. It is lightweight allowing me to put more of what I have to cook verses lifting the weight of the pan. I have other 10.25 " lids that fit perfectly on it. One point the exterior is not nonstick the food residue sticks harder on the outside than inside :)
We wanted a pan that was reliably non-stick and that cooks food evenly. This cooks food (especially meat) beautifully every time. Very happy with the purchase. Easy to clean as well as nothing sticks to it.
I got this skillet bc I wanted one that works as good as the older non-stick coatings like tephlon skillets. This skillet uses non-toxic ceramic coating. I bought this Faberware skillet to replace a Red Copper pan. This pan works WAYYY better!
This frying pan has high sides- which is great for containing sauces/gravies or just keeping what you are cooking in the pan. So far its worked well and I am happy with the pan.
Like the headline said the first time we used the pan my wife was so excited to use it to see if eggs would slide around with out sticking. I heard her yell from the kitchen "The eggs are stuck." And so we had scrambled eggs. Scrubbed the eggs easily with wash cloth, but not what we were expecting. Cooked grilled cheese sandwiches tonight and they did not stick. So I gave it 3 stars. Still looking for a pan that eggs will not stick to it.
I am disgusted with this pan! From the first time I used it, I found the bottom of the pan is not flat. When I set it on my flat stovetop it swings around like it is on a merry-go-round. I bought the pan once before and loved it. After that one finally wore out, I bought another one. This second pan is horrible and I can't wait to get rid of it. The food on the side of the pan touching the burner cooks but the food on the side that is up in the air does not cook.
I absolutely hate these pans! The nonstick failed after about a month of use. The first couple of times we used it, the non-stick was amazing, but after about 6-8 times of use, everything sticks! We have tried using oil, cooking spray and butter, but everything still sticks.
Definitely not how a ceramic pan should be. Total waste of money. After 3 weeks of very light use, food is sticking on it while cooking. Very very disappointed. Should have gone with Cuisinart pan.
