I'm used to Dutch cheese slicers. To me this looks like a potato peeler. However, I obviously get the concept and it will work fine. It's sized well so my 6 yo can grasp it and use it with supervision. It looks like the pictures.

It's been about a month of my family not using pre-sliced or shredded cheese to avoid things like mold inhibitors and stuff in our diet. Shredding was easy but trying to slice it for sandwiches or burgers was tricky. This is brilliant! Superb durability as we sliced a very tough aged cheddar. It's great for the kitchen to keep in easy access. I was worried about the wire bending or breaking but it's a tough cookie.

Nothing special about this cheese cutter. Overpriced but it was the only one in stock for same day delivery.

Does not seem to be adjustable. it cuts thick cheese or thicker. Did not come with instructions IF It is adjustable

What a disappointment. I compared it to my old one that the wire had loosened up. (couldn't tighten it). I was very surprised when I compared the two. The new one is mostly all a lighter plastic. The grip handle is much thinner and lighter. For me a wider grip is much easier to handle. The wire seems good. The older model seems more sturdy and heavier. The bracket the wire attaches to up from the handle appears less sturdy. Packaging is very difficult to open. Zip ties were difficult to remove.

This item is terrible. i couldn't adjust the wire. all this product did was break my cheese apart. don't waste your money.

I think the only cheese this might work on is something soft like Brie. Even leaving cheeses out like Havarti to come to room temperature the wire would just bend, and it was like cutting it with less than a butter knife? Just a horrible design.

used a half dozen times. wire completely stretched out and is now unusable. probably great for super soft cheese like brie, but if you want to slice a piece of cheddar, it won't last. back to using a regular knife. don't waste your money!

There is no adjustment for the thickness of the slices. I've never seen a cheese slicer that didn't have an adjustment. Now I know to specifically look for that "feature" when finding a replacement. Hopefully someone at Goodwill can use it.
