Farberware Professional Slim Box Grater with 4 Blades

This grater has a lot of useful features. Unlike other graters, the Farberware Grater has a container attached in the bottom so it catches the food that I grate or slice. It’s transparent so I can see what falls in and it has measurements ¾, ½ and ¼ cups written on it so you know the quantity of the food that falls in. The non-slip on the grater and container is another useful feature as my kitchen counter gets wet with water and cooking ingredients, so it helps keep itself stable as I grate. The different blade patters are nice. On the side of the grater, the blade is star-shaped, which works well for grating cheese. On the back side, the medium blades worked nicely for vegetables and fruits. On course blade worked well for sweet potato and beets. I used the slicing blade for cucumber, carrots and potatoes. You control the grater at the top by putting your hand around it. Overall, it is very convenient and I highly recommend it!

Do you remember when products used to be made well-well I do and one of those products is a cheese grater like this one. I have not seen one like the days of old for many years and I am pleasantly surprised with this product by Faberware. Not only do you get a cutting edge grater but you also get a convenient holding dish you set the grater on when grating. The holding container is the same size as a butter dish and holds 1 measured cup of grated cheese that you grate. Then it has a top included you can put on if you want to store it in the fridge until use. The grater has really sharp edges and won't be wearing out for a few decades if ever and the container that holds the grated cheese has a rubber skid proof seal on the bottom so it won't be slipping as you are grating your favorite cheeses a major plus for Faberware and customers. The grater has the traditional grates that come on standard graters for Colby cheeses and for parmesan on the back and on the side it has a slot for a cheese slicer to make cracker size slices to munch on. I think you will be very satisfied with this product and would make a great gift with a couple blocks of cheese and a bottle of wine in a basket and some snack crackers and a summer sausage. I am sure anyone will like this product and be glad they finally found a quality cheese grater to hold on to and set on the counter top.

I just love my Farberware Professional Slim Box Grater with 4 Blades! Not only is it slim for easy storage, it has a storage cup at the bottom to collect whatever you are grating (with a cover), so I can measure, use, or store whatever I grate! It has 4 blades so I have a choice of how I want the item to be grated, and did I mention it has a storage compartment that fits right on the bottom which comes with a lid! I have recommended my Farberware Professional Slim Box Grater with 4 Blades to my friends and family and will enjoy using it for years to come!

The little container on the bottom was useless. I did not catch any of the scrappings.

I chose this grater from reading reviews-- ok grater-- not AS SHARP AS DESCRIBE-- but good does a ok job on large holes-- do not like the small grate holes

Very professional looking but extremely dangerous to use. The blades, shredder and grater are very sharp that i actually knicked both my fingers as weel as my knuckles but they are extremely difficult to use on carrots and celery. Potatoes must really be a chore. It came with a container to catch and store vegetables but when you want to stire this container as it us demonstrated, it falls out and does not remain in pkace when you move the slicer. In conclusion it was very disappointing!

Although this grater is very attractive and professional looking I was extremely disappointed with the outcome. I found it very difficult to slice and great hard vegetables such as carrots and cheese was a little bit of a chore although it was done. Cleaning was another problem because the grater is sharp. Last but not least is the storage container that is kept Beneath the grater. It sounds like a great idea unfortunately it doesn’t stay in place so when you left the grater it falls onto the counter.

It's designed like the usual graters. However, the material it's made out of just isn't firm enough when grating so it makes it harder to grate on as it's a bit flimsy, especially veggies like carrots. I'm disappointed as I am on the hunt again for a well-built grater. Works well enough for softer items.

Its absolute junk. Cheap plastic handle. 2nd one I've bought that cost almost 20 dollars for it to break after barely a month. Farberware should be ashamed of themselves for putting their name on this product.
