It's the correct replacement!
This does in fact fit type A with the smaller inside diameter. Seems to be as sturdy as the intex brand.

Reusable
The best thing is that is reusable, washable. Filters out everything and fits perfectly into the pump. Saving money in a long run, a pack will make through the summer

Do not recommend
These were not like previous ones I have bought. There is no give or rubber area in the middle to create a good attachment. It is just hard plastic. They just sit in there, but don't get seated in there without the flexible part, so I had to put a small rock on top of the top filter plate to keep it down.
