HTH Pool Care Shock Advanced — Granules, 6 Pack (6 lb total) — Pool Shock Treatment for Weekly Pool Sanitizing

I've been using HTH Shock advanced treatment for about 2 years. It's extremely effective. Keeps our pool clean and algae free. I use the HTH 4step pool care program and it's been great. The quality and performance are really good. I've had fantastic results since starting with the HTH. Also the price of this particular product is fantastic! Their chlorine tablets are also great. (The price is amazing too) Highly recommend will continue to use in the routine maintenance of our pool.

I realized I needed shock one night %26 the pool store where I normally by shock was closed. I ordered this to make sure I had some on hand. This shock dissolved super quickly, the one I buy from the pool store is a pain, I have to brush it several times before it totally dissolves. This shock did an excellent job %26 I will continue to buy it. The price for a full box was fantastic!!!

It does take longer to dissolve but works well. Due to the rain lately we've had to deal with algae compared to last year. I'm assuming it's due to the rain but I'm having to use 2 bags every 2-4 days. It seems I remember last year only having to shock the pool 1 x a week and only 1 bag. Unless this product has been changed. I will continue the rest of this summer and see how it goes. I may seek a different product next year as 2 bags 2-4 days seem excessive.

we like these HTH brand for chemicals and they work best for us. we use the shock, stabilizer, and3-in pool tablets by HTH. the pH has to be right before you can add the shock or you will waste a lot of shock. at the beginning of each year we also stabilize our pool as soon the chemicals arevin the right range which is necessary. I personally desolve the shock in pool water by stirring it with a plastic paint stirring tool. I put a little and a bucket at a time and throw the water toward the center of the pool and some around the edges. it works well for us that way and we don't have a lot of residue everywhere. be sure to use your pool water and not faucet water so it has the same chemical levels as your pool water. that's just my theory. we vacuum next day.

Walmart's pool supplies are consistently less expensive than other sources and HTH Pool Care Shock Advanced is a perfect example. I've used HTH products for years and have never had any issues. The Pool Care Shock is something I use all the time. I live in FL and between heavy summer rain and the heat and sun, it doesn't take much to throw your pool chemicals out of whack. I use HTH shock (and other HTH products) to keep my pool crystal clear and safe!

We bought this recently since it was on sale for a really good price. It is a great product and helped make our pool water sparkling after a big rain. Having the individual 1 lbs. bags makes it easy to give your pool the right amount of shock for its weekly maintenance.

Compared to other quick dissolving shock for pools, this is a very good price for a 12 pack. Works with salt water pools. And with Walmart plus delivery in as quick as next day if needed. Yes you can get the same chemicals from Home Depot Lowe's and Amazon but Walmart has been very reliable.

The price kills me. It's chlorine. How can they charge this much for chlorine or any type cleaner for that matter. This is ridiculous we should be taxing billionaires 90% especially these corporations.

Harder to dissolve, leaves more remnants that other brands. I have a small filter system so I can't add directly to water in the pool, it will make stain spots and possible holes. So I dissolve it best I can and add to the skimmer. Now if you have a large sand filter, I would think it would work ok.

This product arrived two weeks late. When it did arrive, it was a weak and inaccurate product. On the packaging it says that it is 1 pound, but as you can see by this photo, it only weighs 10 ounces. The product is also very poor quality. I have put three bags in my pool and there has been no change.
