Finish Powerball All in 1 Fresh Scent Automatic Dishwasher Detergent Tabs, 90 count, 63.7 oz

Powerball Tabs work great in our new no-frills Kenmore dishwasher (one of the least expensive they offer). We had been using only liquid detergents until trying samples of Finish Powerball Tabs that came with the dishwasher. We were surprised how clean the dishes were compared to the generic dishwasing detergent. This was particularly true with clear glasses. The 90-count tab box is a deal (about 13 cents / tab). I paid $4.99 (about 30 cents / tab) for a bag of 17 in a drug store. And that was a sale price. Won't do that again. Having read about dangers of small children being attracted to dishwashing detergent tabs and putting them in their mouths, we store the Finish box well out of reach. Also, each tablet is wrapped in a separate non-see through plastic / foil pouch that has to be ripped open to get the tablet out. The tablets in the small bag of 17 were not wrapped. This would be a safer product if the pouch took more effort to tear open.

I have been using these finish powerballs for the last 2 1/2 years...I'm still in love! Not only is it a great price through Jet, but my dishes are always so clean and streak-free. I would recommend this product to anyone! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The dishes most often come out clean, unless the kids left the cereal to harden all day long, but that's not the soap's fault. I'm most delighted by the lack of hard water stains. I think - like on the box, the little red pellet flies around while the water is spraying and puts hard water stains to the curb. I can't prove it, because who would open the dishwasher while it's running? I ask you.

We recently had our dishwasher repaired. Inside there was quite a buildup of dishwasher detergent. Out dishwasher repairman recommended using Finish Powerball to prevent this happening in the future. We took his advice and have been very happy with the cleaning results, and also how clean the interior of our machine has remained.

Not perfect clean... So average.

These did not dissolve well. I tested the water temperature a couple times and it is more than hot enough. I wrote to the manufacturer but they never responded. Lesson learned. I threw half of them out. The gel is much better. or some of the soft packs work ok.

I had been using Cascade Complete and Cascade Platinum for many years. I decided to save some money and try this one. I have been sadly disappointed. I have to rewash some dishes every time my dishes go through a light or regular cycle with this detergent. When I used Cascade I hardly every had to use the pot scrubber cycle. But with Finish I have to use it 90 percent of the time, and I ALWAYS pre rinse my dishes before loading. So in the end I did not save money at all because of the extra water and energy used in having to use the pot scrubber cycle to get modestly clean dishes. I will stick with Cascade from now own.
