Really like the fire pit. I was amazed at how simple it was to assemble. I didn't need any tools. Perfect for cool evenings when you just want to relax. Also great for grilling hot dogs or making stores. The only thing missing is a good vinyl cover.
Our sons gave us a Roman Fire Pit for our back deck, and we've thoroughly enjoyed it. We bought a cover to protect it from the elements (especially the winter elements), and it has held up great the past couple of years. We've celebrated some wonderful occasions around the fire and roasted marshmallow for s'mores. Highly recommended.
I got this item and it arrived in a very large box but was not that heavy. It is true when it says no tools necessary the legs crossed and you put in a wing nut and then the bowl mounts with four Wing nuts. Given the fact that I'm not all that mechanically inclined it went together in about 5 minutes. It is very attractive and looks great on the patio cannot wait to use it.
I had the product shipped directly to the recipient so I have not seen it in person, but have received some very positive comments! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I bought this over a year ago and it has been great. I am very responsible with putting a cover on after use so it doesn't get rusted with rain. The only complaint that makes this not an excellent product is that the feet that slide into the legs keep coming off. I used a high heat glue to put them back in and they are fine now but it would be great if they didn't come out in the first place.
This wood-burning fire pit is the perfect size. Six to eight people can comfortably assemble around it to roast marshmallows! It has a nice look/style. The outer, decorative rim does not get too hot to the touch even with the fire blazing. It is a rather light, flimsy construction which makes it easy to dump out the ashes and move around. The foot pad on ours frequently falls off. Do not spray water on it to put out the last embers as it will rust badly. When not in use, keep it in a covered area or purchase the vinyl cover for it. We love our new fire pit!
I bought it two years ago and it is still in good shape. I would put a few patio bricks under it so it wouldnt burn the lawn. It should have longer legs if used on a lawn, but for a patio its fine the way it is.
Received as a birthday gift. Had to buy a cover. The bowl still developed wear holes, and the fire screen rusted easily. Can't say I was always punctual putting the cover on after use, but always on for the duration between uses. If your ashes get saturated between burns, make sure you clean them out of the bowl.
Bought this with great reviews listed but I have no idea why people would think it was great. Cheap thin metal and arrived bent because it doesn't fit in the box. I returned it the day it was delivered because I know I would only get a couple uses out of it before it would fall part. Now time to find a real one.
Thin metal, but we didn't expect too much. Easy to assemble in minutes. HOWEVER, it should come with a cover of it's going to rust out from the top %26 bottom after getting rained on once or twice. Gotta send it back %26 get a better quality pit.
