First Alert 1039752, White, Digital Display, Carbon Monoxide Alarm

This is our second First Alert CO detector stand alone model. This particular model has a closed battery and the last one gave us flawless service for well over 10 years. At the end of its life it will start beeping, it sounds different from a smoke detector and is very obvious that it is no longer in service. We were bummed at first because although we have smoke/CO detectors in our house, this little unit displays the temperature and we grew to depend on that display. We were thrilled to find the same model is still being produced. Shipping was fast and we have our little buddy back in place. Probably not a bad idea to have redundant CO detection since CO is a ruthless and silent killer.

Great feature on this one versus my previous one is it actually tells you what the temperature in your home is so it's much more convenient than having to go look at the thermostat on the wall in the hallway. It's pretty much the same size as the one I had before but it is just a teensy bit smaller I guess because just one of the screws had to be moved over on the wall just a smidge to fit. There's no assembly. You don't have to put a battery in it. It comes with a battery already in it Thank you so much!

very easy install or sits on shelf. Bought these for my duplex home . Home is all electric appliances however we do heat with propane.

First Alert brand has always been a favorite of mine. I especially liked the ten-year battery. Alarm is loud enough to hear from anywhere in the house. I like the dual display of temperature and CO levels. Compact unit, easy to mount if desired. And the price is definitely right!

Couldn't be any easier. Turn it on, put the 2 screws in the wall. Hang the device on the screws. Done. I am slightly concerned that the temp registers up to 4 degrees off of my thermostat reading 6 " away.

My third one of these....only one from walmart....saved $16 er last two I purchased from Target

Worked well straight out of the box and functions exactly as advertised. I bought 2 and would recommend this alarm. 4 stars now and will upgrade to 5 after I have it for awhile and see what the battery life is.

as far as I can tell it works the test button makes it go off but I assumed that the digital readout was the gas level in the home like most of them however it's a glorified thermometer that tells you how warm it is in the house instead was intensely disappointed at this feature I wanted one with a readout so that I would know the gas levels not how warm it was

I’m only giving it a 3 because we just bought it but, I am sure it is everything we were looking for. Really like the new design, kind of a sleek. I have it sitting on my dresser and it gives the temperature also. It will say on the back that “ Do not hang near the furnace or air ducks on the same wall in the hallway. Read the instructions on where to hang it etc...
