First Alert 1046834, Electric Precision Detection Smoke Alarms

It replaces the exact unit that was hard-wired in my home. The one I am replacing is about 15 years old. The connectors are different on the new model and won't fit the older model for just plug and play, but there are new connectors provided you can install. It has the compatibility with the other detector in my home which will activate when one or the other detector goes off. It means that if one detector senses smoke, that detector will activate the other detector(s) and all will sound alerts.

First Alert Fire alarms Is what's in my house, they been about 15 years, the old ones went bad,I read about them and says to replace around 10 years, so I ordered them from Walmart App, and received them today,got to install them.

This replaces an outdated unit. So easy to plug into the original wired base! Excellent unit. And shipping went great.

Plugged right in to my hardwire connection. It came with some extra items that I did not need. Works great!

Easy and quick to install. Everything appears to be working as advertised but I'll update the post if I have a house fire and really put it to the test.

This was replacement for a 25 year old wired smoke detector. The unit was an exact fit for the electrical box and “luckily” the hard wire was also the same. That said, extra hardwires were enclosed for different plugs.

I somehow managed to mess up this order- needed 3 Alarms but ordered (how?) a 4th one, so now I need to return %234. Please advise me how to arrange a pick up--thanks!' I'm recovering from breaking my hip, so this shopping service has been a Life-saver- again, thnks!

The alarm goes off while cooking but theres no smoke. We push the button to turn it off and it repetitively goes off. Lots of cooking nuisance with this one.

Did not know this fire detector had to connect to another wire instead of running by batteries so I had to take it back. Did not like that and I had to buy some other ones that used batteries.
