We got this set because my 3.5yo son has been really into dressing up and has had a lot of questions about how his body works lately. With the patient dress-up apron, this kit was a two in one for him, and really sets this particular doctor kit apart from the rest. My son was ecstatic from the moment we opened the box and everyone in the house has gotten about 20 checkups since. The quality of the pieces of the kit is very good and it seems like everything will last for quite some time. The felt bag is cute and seems like it will hold up well. The wooden pieces will last forever. Overall, I'd really recommend this kit for kids with big imaginations and lots of questions! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
When my daughter first opened the box, she stated "I have my own doctor toys to check on my daddy and sister." She has been playing with the Patient and Doctor Kit nonstop and she enjoys walking around with the apron on. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
My daughter has always loved playing doctor. But this set offers the feature of being used for both children and adults due to the size of the apron. All of the different features make it easy to change things up also. This is definitely a hit in our house. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I recieved this Mattel Doctor Kit and my son immediately fell in love with it!! Sturdy yet fun and I feel good about him playing with a product like this. It has all the main pieces you could want. I definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for a Dr. Kit! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We received the Patient and Doctor kit to try and review and it has been a hit. The Patient apron is colorful, detailed and educational with some child friendly surprises. My son loves the tweezers. We've had several pretend dermatology sessions! This is a great product to help encourage imaginary play. All the tools are a strong material. Some are plastic and some are wood like material. The storage bag is made of a soft material and each piece of doctor equipment has it's own place. This made clean up and storage quick and easy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
My son loves anything related to learning about the body, systems, and doctoring. Upon opening the kit, the first thing he noticed was the "intestints" (intestines). This is his knew favorite thing to play with, I am his patient daily. He loves the apron with the organs, but his favorite thing to do is give mommy shots. This kit is adorable! My 3 year old and 6 year old have had a great time playing with it. As a parent, I love how all of the items can easily be stored in the "Doctor's bag". The items are light, easy to use, and easy to store- big plus! My kiddos have played with other doctor kits that aren't made nearly as well. The only reason the kit didn't get 5 stars is because some of the items are made of wood. While the quality is excellent, as a parent, I would prefer to have all the items made of plastic so that I can clean them well...especially the pretend thermometer. Overall, I would definitely recommend this toy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
My 6 year old loved this toy. It was fun for her to play with her 4 year old brother. The apron type thing with the organs is super creative and fun. The only disappointing thing was the wooden reflex hammer and thermometer. Those could have easily been plastic and workable. Otherwise it is a fantastic toy! I have mixed feelings about this doctors kit. The stethoscope bends when you try to put it on, so it won't stay on comfortably. The thermometer is wooden, which is great but not when your toddler wants to ram it into your mouth to take your temperature. It's flat and wooden and wide and awkward. I liked that they included forceps and the apron is a neat way to teach more about the inside of the body. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We received this product as part of the play, rate, review program. The doctor apron was nice and I liked that it wasn't the typical doctor or nurse apron that comes with most doctor kits. I would have liked to see more food pieces to put in the stomach. I liked the plastic shot syringe and the stethoscope, but think the reflex tool and thermometer should have also been plastic. The Wood seems like good quality, but plastic seems like it would be a better option for a child that might want to play pretend and put the thermometer in their mouth. My son is 3.5 years old and usually likes things like this doctor kit, but he didn't seem too interested in this one. He will play with it for a few seconds at a time and lose interest. I think it would catch his attention if there were more little tools to play with. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
