Fisher-Price Patient and Doctor Kit with Accessories

We got this set because my 3.5yo son has been really into dressing up and has had a lot of questions about how his body works lately. With the patient dress-up apron, this kit was a two in one for him, and really sets this particular doctor kit apart from the rest. My son was ecstatic from the moment we opened the box and everyone in the house has gotten about 20 checkups since. The quality of the pieces of the kit is very good and it seems like everything will last for quite some time. The felt bag is cute and seems like it will hold up well. My almost 4 year old LOVED this toy, he went around the house giving everyone and everything vaccinations, checking our temperature, our reflexes and listening to our heart. It's a very entertaining toy, though I wish the reflex hammer and the thermometer were made of plastic too just because I feel it's out of place for them to be wooden and everything else plastic. I liked the apron since it wasn't just a print, but it showed that the body has layers and you could explore them a bit by moving the flaps. The Dr. Bag is a nice touch, but I don't see my son using it too much since the cardboard box (which has a cute x-ray drawing on the back) is very sturdy and he like putting everything back inside of it. I recieved this Mattel Doctor Kit and my son immediately fell in love with it!! Sturdy yet fun and I feel good about him playing with a product like this. It has all the main pieces you could want. My son loves anything related to learning about the body, systems, and doctoring. Upon opening the kit, the first thing he noticed was the "intestints" (intestines). This is his knew favorite thing to play with, I am his patient daily. He loves the apron with the organs, but his favorite thing to do is give mommy shots. This kit is adorable! My 3 year old and 6 year old have had a great time playing with it. As a parent, I love how all of the items can easily be stored in the "Doctor's bag". The items are light, easy to use, and easy to store- big plus! My kiddos have played with other doctor kits that aren't made nearly as well. The only reason the kit didn't get 5 stars is because some of the items are made of wood. While the quality is excellent, as a parent, I would prefer to have all the items made of plastic so that I can clean them well...especially the pretend thermometer. My 6 year old loved this toy. It was fun for her to play with her 4 year old brother. The apron type thing with the organs is super creative and fun. The only disappointing thing was the wooden reflex hammer and thermometer. Those could have easily been plastic and workable. Otherwise it is a fantastic toy! My almost 4-year old loves to play with this little set. He wants to give everyone a checkup and had most “tools” doctors will use. As a parent I wish the carting case was easier for him to get everything into himself but maybe he just needs some more practice. Great quality overall. My daughter was so excited when this arrived, she loves playing doctor and loves having “real” doctor tools to play with. The apron with organs is fantastic and adds another great element to her imaginative doctor play. The carrying case fits everything well and my 4 year old can put things in and take things out all on her own. We received this product as part of the play, rate, review program. The doctor apron was nice and I liked that it wasn't the typical doctor or nurse apron that comes with most doctor kits. I would have liked to see more food pieces to put in the stomach. I liked the plastic shot syringe and the stethoscope, but think the reflex tool and thermometer should have also been plastic. The Wood seems like good quality, but plastic seems like it would be a better option for a child that might want to play pretend and put the thermometer in their mouth. My son is 3.5 years old and usually likes things like this doctor kit, but he didn't seem too interested in this one. He will play with it for a few seconds at a time and lose interest.
