Fiskars 8 Inch Original, Orange Handled Scissors for Adults

Ive been a user of Fiskers for longer than I can remember. Thats why i ordered them. I'm stunned. I just took the scissor out of the packaging. I'm hoping this is just a defective item but they are NOT SHARP. They got stuck just cutting an inch of one layer of a woven fabric. See photo. I'll return them. Probably buy a different pair. Maybe they aren't expensive enough to be properly sharpened. I don't know.

These Fiskars scissors are 8 inches and stainless steel blades with orange ergonomic handles. The blades are sharp which makes it easy to cut a wide selection of materials including denim, silk and layers of fabric as well as paper. The angles and edges of the blades makes for a clean, smooth and precise cut. I love that the rivet is adjustable. This helps to keep the blades from loosening with repeated use. The orange ergonomic handles makes them comfortable to grip and easy to hold. They will not slip out of your hands and cut really well. I use them to cut paper and fabric. Overall, I am satisfied with the quality and design of these scissors.

You can't go wrong with the Fiskars brand. I've bought so many cheap pair of scissors and you can tell the difference! The handles are strong and the blades are sharp to cut both fabric and just for household tasks. These stay in our kitchen drawer and we use them for everything.

There is truly no substitute for a good pair of Fiskars scissors with the orange handle. My husband’s eyes lit up when he saw them, if that gives you any indication! They have a nice, balanced weight in your hand, the handle is ergonomic which makes it easier to cut large quantities of fabric, paper, etc, and you will always get a nice smooth cut if you take care of your scissors and don’t cut a lot of plastic or cardboard and thinks like that. These will be your “good” scissors.

These are now my favorite, go-to scissors in our house. They are very sharp and make easy, clean cuts through paper and cardboard with minimal effort.  I can tell that by the feel of the sharp steel blades, that these will work well for years to come. They also work great when pushing them across wrapping paper.  Lastly the contoured finger and thumb grips are molded perfectly so that extensive use is no problem. Highly recommend.

I love these 8" Fiskars scissors. Had a pair some years ago, but with a bad habit of accidentally nicking the blades with straight pins while cutting a pattern, eventually I wore out the edge too much, even sharpening didn't salvage the crisp cutting edges. Went to an expensive all steel pair, but found the steel was actually softer and wound up storing them and returning to the Fiskars brand. The comfort grip is ideal for arthritic hands along with its light weight. If you're doing a large cutting project there is no strain on your hand. They cut right up to the tip for a final snip, and I just can't compare the value to other scissors at greater cost. These are worth the price for all the features mentioned above because the performance of cutting fabric is like cutting through butter.

The Fiskars Original Stainless Steel 8" Orange-Handled Scissors are really sharp. I love how they cut easily through fabric or paper or whatever reason you're needing them. One thing about scissors is that they tend to stop working well and won't cut unless you place whatever you're cutting as far up towards the hinge as possible. These are very sharp the entire length of the blade so snipping with the tip is easy and works perfectly. While I don't sew or use a sewing machine, I do craft a lot with my grandsons and have to cut many crafting items such as construction paper, pipe cleaners, felt sheets, foam sheets and many other items. These scissors are not only perfect for cutting fabric but also crafting as well as many other household needs. While I haven't had them very long and can't really comment on the lasting durability or how long they stay sharp, I'm very optimistic that they will have excellent performance for years to come.

I had a pair of these for YEARS and they finally died after one too many times cutting things you shouldn't cut with scissors meant for fabric (I stupidly used them for cardboard, pipe cleaners, etc.). They hold up so well and are very comfortable to use. They slice right through wrapping paper without having to actually cut and they clean cut thread without just bending it or holding it taut. I used every excuse you can think of to cut things last weekend after I got them just so I could use them. I can't wait to do my next craft or sewing project!

I can talk forever about these scissors. I'm 72 years old and my health is failing me but back in the night I remember it was 1986 cuz I bought a new pickup truck van first one I ever had. I worked in textiles and the only scissors they would buy for any employer to use which about everybody at had to have a pair of scissors because you cut cloth all day long when you reaching you back pockets and everyone that was sisters and as I got older I've got a but they were expensive. scissors of Boston man had a engrave and he would put you a name on her parasiders expected you to keep posted you using them so much. if I got done I guess fiskers sent the company a box of sharpeners too. you held it in there on a whole day. you stick to the sizzle two holes and you all you had to do and stick it in them. two holes and open and closed. you seizures about 5:06 times only took five seconds to do that and you go back to be. you might not believe it. here it is that we had at work. I guess maybe I feel about a pairs big but I didn't eat it and and my drawer I found them on our install. fisky in the '80s and the '90s and I worked in text. Bob, I'll work there and we made made a t-shirt for the dinner stormed war and but I'm going to go. I'm tired. I don't feel good but but I still have at those scissors and I won't cut something that I know needs cutting walmart engraved in it. it my mom. I'll check it out. won't cut whatever I need cut and I don't have to worry about it. Kat all their fiskers and I don't care if they're 40 years old. they cut really good so stick with something but you you know it. they're going to work and it'll be nice if they sold it. just like everything else you know they going to make shark and then if you use them a lot but more than likely if it'll be a night or a little just pick up. Fiskars has always been a quality name for scissors. These classic scissors are fantastic! The familiar orange handle is sturdy and comfortable, the blades are sharp. They are everything you expect from good scissors.
