Fast delivery. Pretty scissors. Cheap scissors. Yep. Pretty Cheap Scissors.
Order was cancelled by Walmart, refund was issued for item being so late (it was assumed lost in the mail). Then a month later it finally arrives (AFTER I've purchased a different pair) and Walmart tells me they're going to RE-CHARGE me for the scissors I no longer need unless they're returned. I'm disabled and have no vehicle so now I'm stuck with scissors I don't even need. Buyer beware.
Making many, many masks for first responders and found my older scissors falling apart under the strain. Ordered these online, picked up curbside, all within a few hours. Was able to return to sewing after a minimal break. These scissors are sturdy, sharp, and reliable. I think I will be using them for a long time. They are my new favorite, great price, and very easy to acquire. Probably not necessarily designed for fabric, but they cut fabric beautifully.
Having purchased these exact scissors several times previously (for total transparency, i cannot keep track of any pair of scissors, ever, no matter what, for any extended period of time) this particular pair does seem to be an anomaly when compared to my past experiences. However, the fact is, they did greatly disappoint me when they went dull and wonky in mere days! When compared to their past ancestors, they failed, EPICALLY at that, to perform as expected. You could say that these scissors have turned into the family disappointment that is defined as being the only cousin to not attend university in the past 6 generations. I have had them less than seven days and have used them a total of five times, and only on materials, such as paper, sticker paper without the stick-em (meaning not cutting through actual stickers, just cutting the bottom sheet they stick to), and card stock for scrapbooking. In the past I've used these exact style of scissors for these exact purposes, and I have had each of them live long and healthy lives…. Until ultimately, like a great aunt with 50 great something or others that has dementia, I either forget about their existence entirely or simply lose them, yet again.. only to eventually replace them with an identical but different pair. This pair has already gone dull, and on top of that seems to be cutting in a fashion that can only be described as “off-kilter”, luckily they're less than $4.00 in the end, so I'll likely just replace them yet again. (Any marking or smudging seen on the center ‘hump' was my attempt at removing my name from the scissors in order to photograph them for this particular review.)
I'm left-handed. (I always had a hard time with scissors hurting my hand or making cutting hard.) These multi-purpose scissors are great!!!! They are so comfortable to use! They have sharp stainless steel blades which makes cutting paper, tape, ribbon, fabric, felt and cardstock so easy! Even after 7 (nonstop) days of cutting and taping for my Most Gifted Wrapper contest submission my hand didn't hurt at all! (Yay! No blisters!!!) I loved these scissors so much - that I bought an extra pair to give to my crafty (left-handed) friend for Christmas!!! So that, we can craft together comfortably without sore hands!
My hand hurts after a day using these. I had them shipped and didn't try them first. Might be OK to cut a piece of tape or something, but not for major projects.
Worst pair of scissors I've ever used. They remind me of the safety scissors we used in grade school. These don't cut any better than that. They won't cut plastic or pieces from a roll of packaging tape. They cut paper but tear the paper so you have to be very careful when cutting. This was the worst purchase I've made in a long time. Now I need to try to find scissors that are actually sharp and will cut what I need.
Good size, great condition of the materials, durable, and cut well. The grey material lining the finger openings is slightly cushioned, making these one of the moat comfortable scissors I've ever owned. I previously bought two pairs years ago. (One dor me, one for my dad Dad and I both love/loved those, and when I needed to get scissors for only cutting open ant poison, I immediately thought of these. Luckily they are still aold here.
The name speaks for itself. I've been a consumer of Scotch products for decades -- which makes me a repeat customer of this brand. The scissors were no exception. The color was appealing to me; and they have a nice grip in my hand without feeling heavy. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
I'm cutting my hair with these. All my other shears ( professional ones) are not sharp anymore. These were a Fraction of the cost to sharpen ONE pair of ones I used to work with. So we shall see. I've used other scissors to cut hair before, but these looked right size for me.
