Fiskars PowerGear2 SoftGrip Hand Pruner with Ultrablade Steel Coated Blade

I have arthritis in both hands so I was looking for a new hand pruner for yard work. This pruner came very well packaged with a plastic top over the top which can be reused for safe storage. Also with instructions. The movement is different than the standard pruner. It requires minimum motion, the handle is soft and feels good in your hand. The blade trims my plants easily. I am very happy with this purchase. Price is reasonable, shipped and received quickly. Would definitely purchase again.

Easy to operate

Very nice and sharp. I would have given 5 stars, but it will not be stable enough on a 1 inch diameter very strong round branch. Otherwise good tool.

Takes a while to get use to learning curve of this style. Yes, they work but can't tell much of a difference between these %26 regular pruning shears, maybe 10-15% less effort to make the cut. Pruned some small branches 3/8” or less %26 have already had to re-sharpen. Would not buy again.

Mine came broken. You should be able to close it and the latch hold it closed. Looks like someone tried it out in the store as broke the cheap part off before I got it.

These do not lock closed when not in use. At least this pair doesn't. I have never owned a pair of pruners that did not. My review is a 1* until Fiskars contacts me to explain or sends me a replacement pair.
