I work around my desert home, lifting rocks and trimming mesquite and palo verde branches. These gloves are very protective, although I will say that the cholla thorns still managed to make their way through from time to time.
Love these gloves. Leather backed and cotton. I've already put them to use.
i am so happy with these gloves! i have a thorn bush that has pretty roses on it but boy does it grow prickly thorns. these gloves are really good at protecting my fingers from those nasty thorns while I'm trimming the bush. They're absolutely comfortable and fit like, well, gloves! i have small hands and I was afraid the mediums would be too big but they fit fine. And the gloves are so soft on the inside, yet they are sturdy on the outside. They feel like they will last a good long time. i would wear these as driving gloves- they fit that well!
Wore them dead heading the roses and they worked really well.

Gloves are nicely made and cute. I bought them for trimming my roses. These give light protection from the usual pricly, icky things found in the garden. However, then it comes to rose thorns these gloves failed me. The material on the palms and fingers is not thick enough for carefree rose pruning. They are fine for most everything else in my garden. Meanwhile I have pulled my dirty old rose pruning gloves out of the garage to stay unscathed and safe from angry rose bushes.
These are super cute, just like the picture. Ordered size M, they fit me perfectly. I only take one star away because it states the palm won't allow anything to poke through, like thorns or cactus. Although I have not gardened with them yet, they just don't seem as thick as I was lead to believe. I still think these will be great garden gloves.
The wrist elastic is uncomfortable for arthritic wrists and the material is very thin for gardening gloves. It is adequate but that is about all.
Not actually puncture resistant. Cactus needle went straight through.
