Product is well made and the attached double pigtail tank connectors included is an exceptional value. Replaced an old 2-stage regulator that was leaking. The changeover valve is easy to operate; you will see a clear lens when tank is full, slowly turning to red as it empties, giving you an indication of propane levels in your tank. When low, just move the easily movable arrow valve to your full tank, disconnect your empty to refill. No interruption of propane availability! YOU SHOULD NOTE: The attached mounting bracket is an L shape with a single 1/2" hole on the "top" of the bracket that requires mounting on the top (ceiling) of your RV propane tank cabinet. I had to use a 1/4" short sheet metal screw and some washers to cover the overly large hole they used (Why such a big mounting hole?) This "vertical" mounting orientation might also present an issue for those with taller cabinets as the pigtails are short, 9" or so. It didn't for me as previous owner had built up a wooden base in my cabinet that raised the height of my two 5 gallon tanks such that both pigtails reached just fine. The L bracket is riveted into the body of the regulator so removal and flipping it to a lower "horizontal" mounting orientation on to the back wall would have been tough. Just keep that in mind. You would likely need to buy longer pigtail connectors if your tank cabinet is a bit larger, or provide a base to lift them up closer to the regulator mounted location.

Heavy duty and quality metal construction that replaced the largely plastic (and leaking) regulator on my 1 year old Outdoors RV travel trailer. Seems to work perfectly with all my appliances. Very adequate flow capacity for almost any RV and looks to be constructed to last a long time. The price for this regulator including new pigtails is a great bargain. The cost for the regulator alone is much higher at any of the RV dealers. You get a new regulator at the best price and essentially a free set of new pigtails! Upgrade your old regulator and pigtails at a great price. Don't wait until you have a failure while on a camping trip.

We bought this 2-stage regulator just 4 months ago. Since then the RV has not moved from the park we're in, there has been zero days of freezing weather and it's been covered and out of the UV sunlight since it was installed. We're moving the RV now out onto our land where we're building our house and I checked the propane level before we were leaving. I found the left side of the screw-on attachment had cracked completely and allowed every bit of propane to exit the tank. At $4/gallon, that adds up fast. I've ordered a replacement pigtail but not from the same company. I only hand-tightened the threads so it wasn't a matter of cranking the fitting on too tight. No way this should have failed like this and I paid more to refill the propane tank today than I paid to buy the fitting. Total fail.

I ordered this propane regulator in Sept. 2023. after the second time connecting to a propane tank, the green plastic connector broke on ome of the pigtails (the part that screws onto the tank). Here it is only December 30th and now the 2nd pigtail has broken. If you do purchase this regulator, you might want to save your old pigtails just in case. Defective product. and yes, they were tightened by hand only
