I am using this white Flex Tape for so much. It really holds strongly so I have used it before. I used it on a nice white small trash can that developed a 2 inch split from the top and the tape really holds well. I also used it for a small leak that is coming from the back of my toilet tank--by using it on the outside of the toilet tank, it allows me to take my time in getting a plumber and not having to call in on "emergency." I like this tape.
I buy this stuff regularly. I have used it for so many repairs. Even swimming pool tears. We love it!
It sticks like glue...it is great product! Saved me in fixing a few things! A little expensive but worth it!
Have used before. One of the best tape around.
We tried to use it to fix a leak, followed all the instructions, we were very careful. It didn't help at all. It's a very small leak, too, so I'm not sure what happened. It stuck well it seemed, but the water is still seeping out. For perfectly flat surfaces it might work fine, but for anything that's not flat/smooth it doesn't seem like it'll work. It was also a bit difficult to get the backing off, though that may have just been us. It does seem durable, if it works.
if the surface isn't completely flat it's not going to work and it's really hard to apply I'll give it an A for sticking power once it's on its nearly impossible to pull off
I probably expected more from a $15-for-5 foot, roll of tape. It is EXTREMELY sticky but the adhesive melts in the sun (Ohio sun at that). I used this tape for two separate purposes. Purpose one: was to repair some cuts on bench seats on my boat. It covered and held the cuts just fine, but the adhesive melted in the sun and leaked out around the edges of the tape. You do NOT want to come in contact with the very sticky adhesive! We used baby powder and beach towels to insulate us from the goo. After 6 months in the sun the vertical patches were dripping down like sticky icicles which we had to pull off lest they roll up in someone's hair. With the adhesive leaking out like that, the edges became less tacky and began to lift up, especially on corners. It looks like I will have to get the seats reupholstered. Purpose two: was on a camper roof to patch a seam at a transition between the rubber roofing and the front edge of the aluminum. The thermal expansion kept cracking the sealant caulk every year. I taped across the entire camper (it took 2 rolls) on that seam. It has been 6 months and it seems to be holding its own. Obviously I am not as worried about the adhesive melting out from the tape on the roof since no one will be sitting on it and it is a horizontal application. Overall, for me, this tape is one for two in patching something.
it did not stick did not work when wet like it indicated. peeled off easily. would not recommend this for any use.
Bought this to fix a leak in an above ground pool. Flex tape was recommended to me by someone who uses it regularly for many purposes. I assumed that the marine tape would be even better given my problem. I cleaned the area well and dried it prior to sticking the tape on. The leak stopped for about 10 seconds and started again. Not impressed, and very disappointed to have wasted the money on such a small amount of tape that doesn't actually fix my problem. Back to looking for a solution!
Awful. Couldn't even get the tape to a useable state. It was like it had been stored in an oven and melted inside itself. It went in the garbage can.
