I tried all the natural ways to keep skeeters at bay but when that didn't work I gave in and got this. It does the job and I can now enjoy being outdoors on my patio. Only thing I don't like and its not the fault of the product, other bugs, good bugs are drawn to the light which I have to try and save.

We have a typical size city lot for our area. Our town sprays for mosquitos periodically, but we have noted that their numbers only decline for a few hours to a day and then explode for about 3 weeks after each spraying. Not sure what the town is actually using or doing. Anyway, we had to take matters into our own hands as it was becoming impossible to do anything outside. The dog didn't even want to be outside they were so bad. We have one of these positioned in the front apart from the front door which seems to cover the driveway, walk as well as the porch and door. We have another in the back yard to draw away from the back door. We have to clean them off at least once per week. They do a fantastic job drawing insects away from the doors and have cut down the number of insects actually getting into the house by a huge degree. Plan to have more of them for next summer to help us better enjoy our yard.

A lot of power in a compact size. 4K watts of power and it delivers in its claims. I purchased this initially to cover a small garden I had and it took care of all the pests that I could see. Perfect for family outdoor gatherings. Made in the USA and priced right. Worth the money. Five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

After the first 15 minutes I thought it had stopped working. Then I realized the it was so caked with bugs that the zapping field didn't exist. I cleaned it off and it went back to zapping. I have noticed a big difference in the number of bugs at night while working outside. Excellent for the price. the only issue inhave is not enough mosquito attractant!

This is an awesome bug killer.I have lots of plants around the front door. We are inundated with Asian Tiger mosquitos. They carry up to over 30 diseases. We lost an 18 year old boy in the town here due to hydro encephalitis do to a mosquito bite. I get in my spa and I get 4 to 5 mosquitos flying around my face. Then they come in the house and bite me in my sleep. The first night I hung the trap it killed over a dozen. I got in the spa and only one flew in my face and I slapped it in the water. flowtron bug zappers are great for killing flying bugs on my property. I've used them in the past, last one i used for about 5 years before a greedy person took it. tried another popular brand and it did not work well, zapper quit. flowtron will last.

Have purchased several of these outdoor bug zappers. They are advertised as providing coverage for up to 1/2 acre but I doubt they provide this much coverage with a 15w bulb. I have five units clustered in a shaded back corner of my yard that seems to have the most flying insects. These zappers work quite well. The dead insects need to be blown out every couple of weeks. I leave them on 24 hours a day as I think the bulbs last longer when remaining on continuously instead of turning on/off daily, and 15w bulbs don't use that much electricity anyway. The instructions on how to insert the mosquito bait need to be clearer. I did purchase one that did not work straight out of the box (bad bulb). Returned to store for refund.

This particular unit came well packaged; however, it was missing the octenol cartridge that was advertised coming with the unit. The Flowtron unit would not light upon turning it on for the first time. I traced all connections to be certain power was going to the unit. All OK. Plugged in a different Flowtron to the same power source and it powered up normally. In short, I had to purchase a new light bulb AND the starter bulb for this new Flowtron unit. I had to purchase octenol cartridges as well, because it did not have one included as it was advertised it did. Very dissatisfied with my experience with Flowtron and this product, I have since tried other units from different brands. I could tell no appreciable difference in any of them, and the lower cost units seemed to do as well as this higher priced Flowtron unit. Based on my experience with this product, I don't recommend this Flowtron product as there are many other more affordable options that perform just as well.
