Fortress Quick Access Handgun Safe with Electronic Lock and Backup Key, Black P2EA

I had ordered this as a gift for my father that is in his 70's. He absolutely loves it! The set up instructions were well written and the safe was set up in a matter of minutes. The key touch pad is made so you do not have to look at it when you are punching in the code, this is great for low lit areas The door is spring loaded for quick access, if needed. This safe also has an alarm if someone is moving it or has tried the code to many times and also comes with a set of keys if for some reason you have forgotten the code or the battery has run down. The area in the safe is big enough for two hand guns. I am very pleased with the quality and simply design. I feel much better knowing that the guns are in a secure area when the grandchildren are around.

The safe is very nice. Love to size. I have seen others say it only fits 2 pistols. Not true. Sorry people. I have a 1911, double stack 45, a double stack 9, and a little 380. in my safe. And there all in there holsters. There all full size but the 380 cobra Little baby gun.

The unit is larger than I had anticipated. there is plenty of space, with the internal shelf in place, to hold 2 pistols along with flashlights or extra magazines. An extremely strong spring opens the door rapidly. The combination and alarm setting procedures are straight forward. I had to stand the safe on end to get a clear view of the button to the reset the combination. The unit comes with 2 keys, should the batteries fail. The only complaint I might voice is the sloping top. The unit has a trapeziodal shape that keeps you from placing anything on top of the unit. I have the safe placed beside my bed and would have liked to place a lamp on the top. I would recommend this safe for secure and rapid access to whatever you choose to place inside.

The Fortress Alarming Pistol Safe is easy to use and keeps your Pistol and accessories safe with quick access. The coding directions can be a bit confusing but a single phone call to the 888 number revealed a simple explanation of how to enter your personal code. The Safe has ample room for my Glock 21, magazine wiping rag and even a second pistol should you desire to keep one in the safe. I definitely recommend this product for home security of your self defense weapon.

I've had one for many years, no issues. I bought another for my Sister in law for Christmas. She loves it. Great for work to store wallet, keys, etc.

I have a 2 year old granddaughter so I need to keep my pistol safe and away from little fingers .Out of the box and put the batteries in ,and set my code ,took keys out which is very important . I shut the door punch in my code and nothing . I tried this two or three more times with the same result and then tried the key and still nothing . I smack it in the side and the door opened . I ended up having to bend the latch on the door a little bit to reduce drag . This is why the four stars . Now it seems to work quick and easy every time and I love the feeling of being able to have my pistol locked and loaded and arms length and knowing my granddaughter will be safe too. It also has an alarm if someone puts in the wrong code which is a nice feature .

Due to a mechanical failure (door wont open when using key pad...only key opens door). Will return and try one more time. Price and size is right and direct customer service from fortress was awesome.

Issues with programming security code. I would have preferred a 5 key programmable pad instead of 4. Somewhat difficult to figure out your lock code. Instructions does not provide clear and precise instructions.

After 3 sets of fresh batteries meeting Fortress recommendations I could get no more than 6 weeks for each set. The LED light that should to be on when it opens does not work. I called Fortress Customer Service. Was told the safe was manufactured in 2023 so there were no parts for it. They told me I needed to go back to Walmart. Then they sent me a form to fill out asking the same questions I answered on the telephone. Basically, they blew me off. I wouldn't buy this safe if you want to use the keypad. Don't believe the warranty!

Wanted to buy something so my little girls wouldn't get into my pistols saw this and liked how it worked but when I got the product I was only able to open it up with the key tried several times to program the lock but it wouldn't work email the company and they told me I had a defective Part just to send it back
