We are trying to find the studs in our wall to mount a 55" TV. It's difficult because we have an old house with slats in the wall, so a stud finder is not very effective. By using this one, a long with drilling multiple holes, we believe we have found the studs. Also appreciate the live wire detector,,!

I've used a lot of stud finders over the years, but the Franklin Sensors M150 is on a completely different level. What really stands out is the wide sensor array it doesn't just guess where a stud might be, it shows you exactly where it is across the wall in real time. No more sliding back and forth hoping for a consistent beep. The LED display is incredibly clear and intuitive. You can see the full width of the stud, which makes it much easier to drill or mount anything with confidence. This is especially helpful for heavier items like TVs or shelving where accuracy matters. Another big plus is that there's no calibration needed. You just turn it on and go, which saves time and eliminates a lot of the frustration that comes with traditional stud finders.

I bought this stud finder to replace an old aging unit that had been dropped 20 or 30 times no longer functioned I'm very pleased with the accuracy of this unit easy to use and takes no calibration it will also find metal objects and power lines and of course Studs that are Behind the Walls. So far so good, this ProSensor M150 checks all the boxes.

As a novice DIYer, knowing where the center of the stud is and not guessing is a blessing. My old stud finder was not very accurate and when you know you have a 2" target and cant get a spot on target, it is frustrating. This will save me a lot of patching and do overs.

Have used it to find studs for hanging shelves. I didn't realize the feature set included electrical detection, and it made me aware that there was electrical running horizontal in the bathroom on the other side, which I was able to adjust mount points for. I like it so far, would recommend.

Amazing little bit of kit and with all my testing it is extremely accurate! Love telling guys about it on site over here in Scotland, anyone that has used it, has loved it ! Does exactly what it says on the tin, think i'll be picking up the model up from the M150 rather soon !

So far I see it works great on sheetrock, easy to find the center and detects live electrical wires. On 3/4 wood tongue and groove boards it has problems with the grooves in them like the other stud finders I've had. Doesnt work on my tile over lath walls because of thickness as expected. Seems to work finding joists under my hardwood floors. Overall good product for normal surfaces.

I placed online order with Walmart for $80. I never received my item and they do not want to solve the problem on one pretext or the other.
