Fresh Step Clean Care Crystal Cat Litter, Febreze Freshness Scent, 8 lb Bag

A little expensive but well worth it! I have two cats and with other cat litter I was having to vacuum 2-3 times a day. Lasts for quite a while and once the poop is scooped ( my cats have never covered their poop!) there is no lingering odor. Never smell the urine in the box.

I've used this litter for years. I have allergies and this one doesn't put out much residue. I can also keep track of kitties bathroom habits. The size of the crystals are good too. I've tried the mini however dust pick up bad and cleaning can become undesirable.

I have 2 cats, one litter box and I been thru everything out there, including automatic boxes, pine pellets, clay, pellets %26 pads. Fresh Step Crystal Litter is the easiest to use (Pretty Litter is my runner up). I scoop the poop daily. The silica crystals absorb moisture %26 keeps odors locked inside the litter. Urine, too! After scooping just stir the litter and wet spots disappear -no urine smell, no ammonia. 1 bag last me all month.

This product works very well at containing litter box odors especially for urine - there is no “cats live here” smell. There is no dust, but very occasionally there are random blue crystals here and there, but I'm fine with that trade off. The only negative I can think of is the price. When we first started using Fresh Step Crystals it was around $18 for an 8 pound bag, now it's $25 per bag. However, recently Walmart offered a discount if you purchased four bags which came out to about $20 per 8 pound bag with free shipping - I don't think you could find a better deal!

I like this litter a lot and I love the crystal litter I believe that if I had just one or two cats it would be excellent but I have 5 and it is so much better than the clay litter not as much scooping and the poop is freeze dried and comes right out and I just mix it with the scoop and the pee goes away. Now it is expensive so what I've been doing for a while is mixing this about a third of a bag with a half a bag per litter box with the Walmart brand of crystal litter and with five cats it lasts about a week and a half. Oh and I don't care what the other brands say about odor control you can smell pee so far I have not with this we had the cats on a trip from El Paso to California with one litter box and of course people seem to have never have seen a cat ride in a car before let alone 5 and no one could smell the litter box in the back! That should prove it!

I have switched to this litter instead of Pretty Litter about 7 months ago and it is soooo much better! There's much less tracked out of the litter box than the tiny granules of the other litter and it doesn't get stinky or dusty as advertised. My cat had no issues with the change and stopped her intermittent sneezing that I think was caused my the Pretty Litter. So this is 'crystal' or silica cat litter. How is it different? - The grains/crystals are 5X larger than grains of clay/clumping cat litter. - It does not clump. - It absorbs way more liquid than clay/conventional litter. - It creates little/no dust. Benefits: - This stuff kills odor, well. - It totally desiccates feces - It doesn't track as much as traditional clay - No bad perfume scent. Drawbacks: - The big grains feel like stepping on shards of glass, if they do get out of the litter box. - Because it doesn't clump, urine can pool at the bottom of the litter box. Not great. What I've found most effective is mixing some of this in (maybe 1:4) with my standard clumping litter and I get the best of both worlds.

This is my go to litter. If you scoop and turn the litter daily, it can last you up to a month. We have two cats ( indoor only) and an extra large litter box that takes two bags. So two bags, scoop and stir daily, lasts a month with no odors. Only downfall is it hurts to step on the litter that gets kicked out of the box, so keep it swept up and wear shoes or slippers 😂

Horrible, horrible, horrible!!! I bought a bag by mistake. I just thought the bag of litter had a new visual label. I am a Reading Specialist by trade among other titles. I did not read the label. I got home before I realized my error. I decided to go ahead and the bag. It was horrible for Athena, my 10 year old cat. It was horrible for me cleaning her litter box daily. No thank you, the two of us will stick with the crystals and I will practice what I preach in my classrooms, elementary on up to higher education, “READ THE LABELS “

Disappointed. We wanted to try an alternate cat litter after the typical cat litter due to dust and tracking. We have a smaller space, and the crystal litter tracked even worse, because they are larger chunks that our cat then plays with and then it crushes into smaller pieces once stepped on. A little less dust, but still see it in the air when scooping. The urine doesn't clump, so it's probably tracking on our floor too, along with the chemicals the crystals are made of. One benefit is that it's lightweight. Back to the drawing board of trying another type of litter, something organic/natural this time mixed with baking soda for odor probably.
