I read reviews before purchasing and they turned out true. I chose this one mainly because I wanted to be able to angle the vents so they didn't blow directly on me. It works well. I use the timer to come on 2 hours before I come home which works perfectly. The temperature is a little off though. You have to set your ac 4-5 degrees colder then you want the room to be especially when it's on econo
I have several A.C. with smaller BTUs of the same make and model. This brand and its features work so well, when it came to needing another A.C. I choose this make and model. You set the temperature ( coolness) you want and it automatically comes on and off based on that temperature you’ve set. I like the look and the features buttons where they are placed and easy to use. All this and a great
Other AC unit was approx 5 years old and didn't seem to be working well. Read several internet reviews for this model and found Sam's had the best price. Installed the unit in a few minutes and it's working great. Has a remote control which is a nice value add. This AC actually seems to run based on the temp we set. Cycles for a few minutes and then shuts itself off. The other GE unit we had almost ran constantly. Hoping this new Frigidaire will be easier on the electric bill. I would highly recommend this unit
Bought this to replace an older model. Works very well. Very cold air. This model is quieter than the previous model.
Only been using it a few nights, it's been cool the last few days. Window units tend to be noisy but, this unit is loud especially if the fan is on high. We're using eco mode and when the unit cuts on it is loud enough to wake me up. It sounds a lot like someone starting their truck and letting it idle. I like the way this one looks. It does cool our bedroom (28x14) and bathroom(14x10) quickly. Very easy to install.
It fit in the window. The remote is great. It cools the space it should. With the packaging that was included, you would think that it was impossible to have damage to the air conditioner, but there was a ding in it. The ding was not worth returning the unit though.
This ac really cools, but is extremely loud. Thought I would get use to it, but no. Will be returning it within the coming days and replacing with LG dual inverter ac! I have two larger ones already and at the time I bought the Frigidaire the smaller LG with dual inverter was not out yet! Can’t wait to get it!
This air conditioner will not turn on all the time. I've tried the remote and manually. It turns on some of the time that it. What good is it if it does not work properly. I'd return it but it was professionally installed when I had the three season room built. Very unhappy with this product.
I bought two of these, had shipped to house. Outward the boxes showed no damage, but after opening, I quickly realized that the packaging is completely inadequate for shipping. Opened the first, some minor dents but I was willing to live with it. Installed it, plugged it in, and nothing. Would not even turn on. Second one, opened up and all four corners where the plastic front meets the sheet metal housing of the unit were cracked. I had a couple 220 VAC units from Frigidaire and like them, so I was really disappointed when these units didn’t meet my expectations. These units look really nice, but for about $400 each, I expected better. I returned them and bought two GE 10,000 BTU units. The front display is not as nice but they WORK and I am happy with them. Also, I bought these from a local appliance store, having no confidence in whoever the distributor is for window AC units purchased online through Sam’s Club.
When we opened the box there was a large amount of a clear oily substance all over the bottom of the packing and all over the bottom of the unit. We promptly repackaged it and returned it to the nearest store.
