Frigidaire 6,000 BTU Window-Mounted Room Air Conditioner

This almost works too well. I have a small home, but it's 2 floors. I use this in an upstairs window and the whole house gets so cold, save for the big bedroom upstairs, in which I have another of these. Admittedly, I live in a rural area and my house is completely shaded by trees until about 11:00am. Still, my old AC never kept my home this cold. I love it

Love this window unit! It is the best, I purchased this in July and installed it today. Gulf Coast Texas and it's like a ice cube in my bedroom. I couldn't take anymore of that other brand as it was junk the day I bought it. Fridgidaire products are the best and Wal-Mart's price was great. Love it and I highly recommend it excellent product!

I purchased my unit early this summer. I rate it five star. Comes with a few good features and also includes a remote. Comes complete with a window kit and easy to follow instructions. It is also 1000btu more than other makes for its price range. Highly recommend.

I ordered one on sale for Black Friday and stored it until the following spring. Installed it and it didn't work. Had to contact support. With the exception of poor English speaking on the phone, they were helpful and willing to replace the unit under warranty. I waited the suggested time for shipping notification of new unit.. never got it. Had to contact them again and tell them that it was not shipped. They said they would fix it and they did. The new unit was shipped (slightly slow) and arrived in working condition. Didn't have to do anything with the old unit like ship it back or return it, so that was convenient as I live very rural and doing so is challenging. Overall thus far I am pleased with the purchase and that the company actually honored their warranty without any argument, arbitration or a class action.

The unit was packaged adequately from the factory for shipment . So, when the shipping package arrived at my home that this new air conditioner was in , it had no signs of damage , I was pleased. But when I carefully opened the package I found that at the rear of air conditioner , where the hot air exits , that coil was bent in three places. Whom ever packed it in this shipping box at the factory was careless , and no doubt damaged it there. Im hoping that their carelessness doesnt cause a leak in the systems refrigerant charge. I was going to return it to Walmart but it was badly needed here for cooling. I felt I paid a premium price for this Frigidaire Window Air Conditioner and I was disappointed at the way it was abused prior to me receiving it. There was no way it could have been damaged this way during shipment and the FEDEX guy was very careful with it when he delivered. I have a nice home and have owned several Frigidaire window units and I expected more caution to have been taken at the factory. Im disappointed at the outside appearance of my product and it degrades the outside appearance of my home as well. But I bought the maximum warranty from Walmart on this unit which I recommend , so Im hoping it will last me a while. I still believe Frigidaire builds a quality product but this one just shouldnt have passed their final Quality Control inspection.

Purchased this unit when it arrive was very surprised how small this unit is, my previous unit was pretty large. The problem I have is size being small and the side brackets don't hold the unit in place when window is closed. I'm sure it has to do with my windows being sooo old. Like the remote and the price was was great it now went up $100 after I bought it. After a few more uses will see how good it is.

How can this AC freeze after a couple of hours? Especially with the weather over 80 degrees. I bought because I know it don't makes a lot of noise since I can't sleep with any AC that makes too much noise. I woke up because of the AC stopped throwing cool air

I purchased this ac last week for my room. This ac won't even cool my room in 70 degree weather so I'm almost certain it's not going to do anything in 90 degree weather. I like everything about it from the remote to the look but looks don't buy happiness and I'm sweating as I'm writing this review. Maybe I got a dud? I don't know but I would never purchase this unless it's for a 8x8 room. any more and you'll need to find something else.

Received a damaged appliance in a shipping box that was not damaged. Unfortunately I waited until after the 30 days to install and seller refused any help in the return process. If you order an appliance, check it right away even if the box looks new.

the box was damaged and when we took the ac unit out of the box the top was dented in and the direction fins were busted off....so disappointed in frigidaire. we sent this back for a refund
