This a.c. was way worth the price!! We love it!! An for once we had a good response for FedEx on delivery! We seen the guy on are front camera an he ran up with the ac on his shoulder! Bless his heart! That a.c. is heavy! An he very gently placed in on my front porch!! Like to give that fed ex worker a shout out!! Keep up the good work .
I have not had this air conditioner for a week but so far so good. I appreciated the packaging (for the ease of that alone I was thinking of giving it 5 stars) But this is actually a really good unit. Its easy to use and was easy to install and gets the job done.
This is an awesome window unit a/c. I can't believe how much cold air comes out. It feels like more than 8000 btu's. I keep mine on eco mode to save money, basically that means it only runs when the the temp is above or at the set temperature, instead of running all the time with the compressor turning on and off. It keeps my living room and kitchen/dining room cool alone. I don't even have to turn my other a/c on in the back of my house until I go to bed and want my bedroom really cool. My house is small, about 1000 square ft old farm house with little insulation. The only thing I've found that I don't like is the Wi-Fi, it hasn't worked for me and I'm pretty technically savvy, but not sure what's going on with it. It's not a big deal though. This a/c is a great deal and you should definitely get it. One more note, it was 92 degrees one day and my living room was 65 degrees with this a/c.
Very nice window unit. Its sleek and the WiFi control is awesome. Can control it with my smart phone with the app. The set up took a few tries, worked best when I turned the wifi off on my cell to connected it the first time. After that no issues..I love it. The unit is quite and blows cold! My previous Frigidaire was a 10,000 btu and this 8000 keeps my room colder. So far so good...Im glad I made the purchase.
Very pleased with this unit, much quieter than the 5,000 BTU a/c I had. Cool’s the room very fast. Really love the remote control. I haven’t programmed the WiFi yet. Also like being able to move the vents to direct the air flow. Looks great as well. I’d buy it again!
This AC is reasonably quiet. It does not seem to hold last settings. The remote is cheap. It is hard to feel the locations to press. I had a remote like this in the past and it did not last long. I am hoping for better out of this one. The unit is not Energy Star rated. Time will tell if that is a problem. It is a good air conditioner for the price. I was looking for a higher BTU rating and this meets my needs without breaking the bank. Probably will never use WiFi but everything is going that way, although I did set it up without any trouble.
I only used it once so far and I'm not sure if I received a dud. The fan is quite loud, as in it would be hard to take a phone call while it's running. The condenser is quiet. It also took a while to cool my room and it wasn't that hot the day I tried it.
This unit feels more like a good quality fan than AC unit, cool air but NOT cold.. I'm going to return. However, the Fed Ex guy flipped it upside down when he delivered it.. I don't know if that is the problem or if its just the unit.. I bought this to replace a 6000btu that is 9 yrs old, and my 9 yr old unit puts out colder air than this.
I am so disappointed. When I first ran the unit after install (just over a month ago) it got really cold within minutes the room was very cold. I may have turned it on a total of 5 times with no issues, but today I turned it on and it only blows out cool air. It is 75 degrees outside I tried to turn the unit to 70, and the air is just a bit cooler than the air that comes from a regular fan. I turned the temperature down to 66 and on the "cool" setting and still only cool air blows out. I will try to get in touch with the manufacturer. I remember my grandparents bragging about Frigidaire products, and how they lasted for a long time, but now I'm not so sure about this brand. We'll see I guess...
I was able to buy a 8000 BTU 115 watt Frigidaire window AC unit today with remote, FHWW082WCE, I highly recommend NOT buying this unit, it has very low power even on setting High, I was not even able to feel a slight breeze half way across a small room, so disappointed at the quality of any thing these days. and we have to trust these makers to do the right thing, when we get old and are not able to shop much any more for our selves. so sad. good luck people !
