Im super grateful that Walmart has this product in hand for s'us, we feed strays near the house and wanted to make sure they got some good protection from flees if we don't see them for awhile. So great they had this
I have an indoor outdoor cat and Ive never had issues with fleas or ticks. Knock on wood. It does get on fingers when you crack tube open but seems to be fine. She doesn't run away when I try to put on and as long as I apply during day it doesn't rub off.
This is the Brand I use. Even if it isn't reapplied at exactly 30 days, the cat didn't have any fleas or ticks, so it does the job. He seems to tolerate it without much irritation to skin. The 2nd tube I had issues that the tip didn't open likebit should and the liquid woukdn't come out, so have a scissors handy. That's the 1st time that has happen after many many years of using it. It didn't snap open like it should have and inner plastic tube just stretched.
I swear by this product. I hate the flea season bc I see my cats are miserable. And if I only have to put it on one time then I'm happpy. Last season my husband bought a cheaper brand and it DIDNT WORK AT ALL!! So back to the Frontline it is. ALWAAYS!!
Been using if for years.. But the Last couple of months it seems like this product isn't doing anything to help my cats . They are still getting tons of fleas ! Way too expensive to not work.! Not happy with this product right now for the wasted cost for it not to work!!!
Really not effective. That counts. The cats hate the applications. Don't know why. i realize there are chemicals like ones used in gardens that are toxic. This could be an issue. Cannot hold, touch pet for 24 hrs after. You put it on back of the pets neck. If you touch it...wash up IMMEDIATELY after contact. That says UNSAFE. Alot of pet flea, tick treatment are this way. Do be careful. Check w/ your vet. *Prices a bit steep.
My husband and I were really excited that this treatment didn't seem to burn the cats. However, about 1 week later, the scratching worsened. 3 weeks in, one cat had lots of fleas. Had to make them wait and scratch for the remainder of the 30 days. Gave them Vet prescribed meds today, scratching has already subsided.
i used this last summer %26 fall. It worked great everytime, no problems. This year when it got warmer and the animals were going outside more i noticed my cat itching like I've never seen before. i considered getting the Soresto collars but i was worried because both my cat %26 dog are about 8 years old which I've heard can have ill effects on older pets. However, when i received the frontline i put it on my cat she was still itching her fleas all night. So i even went through house and porch to spray for any fleas that had made themselves at home, leaving little hostess gifts on my ankles. I thought maybe after that i would notice improvement but by this point i had done the dogs dose too and yet that night we were kept up by 2 unhappy animals scratching their fleas all night long! you can't dose them again for 30 days or treat them with anything other flea meds so while my ankles no longer itch my Great Dane %26 Tabby cat are giving me the evil eye daily! $100 worth of flea %26 tick treatments between pets %26 house with no relief. Sadly if i just spent the $100 for 2 soresto collars and we'd be a much happier pack!
My cat had this medicine 2 weeks. She is an indoor cat. My dog goes out to potty and must've brought fleas in. She doesn't have visible fleas but my cat is covered in them.
We used this on our one year old male cat, we live in Washington State - Puget Sound area - and this gave no relief to our cat. Using this actually put us in a position to where we couldn't use anything else to treat him for the last couple of months in fear he might get really sick because this was already in his system and it might interact. Our cat did not have a really bad infestation to begin with per se, realistically this should have treated it - so embarrassing to have him scratching with company over or to just imagine how he feels scratching. I wish I would never have tried this and just went to the vet. The only positive thing I can say is it doesn't have a smell and it seemed to absorb quickly and not spread every where like some other treatments do. For the fleas in Washington - I would avoid this product.
