I had my labs on Nexgard until one of them started having seizures. I didn't realize at the time that the Nexgard was causing them. I don't like tick collars so I went back to Frontline. I used Pet armor for years but my Vet encouraged me to use Frontline. It works great. I haven't found a single tick on my dogs which is great for northern Wisconsin.
My brother had a country dog that is too wild to leash for vet treatments. It became flea infested sands we used Capstar to first stop the infestation cold and then applied Frontline next day. After the dogs miserable experience I'm sure it will be treated monthly hereafter along week the family's indoor cats.
I have always used Frontline for flea control, but it got a little pricey for me and I went to a less expensive product. Well, I have a new fur baby that has never had a flea on her until lately. She's a year old and for some reason she has gotten one or three of the little boogers on her. It has been driving her crazy. At first she looked, puzzled, then spooked, and then just bothered. She kept trying to run from it, and she was honestly scared if it. I felt to bad for her. Well, the flea med I bought was not effective. So, I had to wait that medicine out because I didn't want to make her sick, poor thing, she was miserable and I was miserable for her. Well, I knew exactly what to go buy and that's FRONTLINE. It has always been effective and it is still the same great product that I remember. At this point and after watching her for three weeks be sad o sad and miserable, I'll be buying FRONTLINE from now on. My older Chihuahua hasn't been bothered like my newest baby but she will be getting the FRONTLINE treatment monthly like she used to get. The effectiveness of this product and its tried and true outcome are back in my list because I never want to see my babies go through what Bella went through. If you want tried and true results from a reputable brand that has longevity in their market, then get FRONTLINE for your babies. Sorry, not sorry that this hot do long but I believe in speaking out about the hood as well as the bad. This is definitely 💯 good.
I have used Frontline on my Wire Hair Fox Terrier since I got him at 3 months. He has never had a flea or tick or any other varsity. Has never had any reaction to it and he'll be 12 his birthday. I wouldn't use anything else. Very easy to use back of neck and squeeze. I've noticed a faint smell-not unpleasant-when I first put it on, but fades immediately.
It seems to work best as a preventive medicine, in other words don't let your puppy dog (s) get fleas before you use this product. You'll never catch up. Use this medication before fleas attack. Then it seems like the barrier is working out because I haven't seen flea 1 on my babies. Knock on wood.
I have been using this product for over 20 years. It works. And without side effects to my dog or prior dogs. It is to be applied on skin between dog's shoulder blades as per the instructions, so not as easy to dose as the newer flea tick products- but I prefer using products that have been around for a long time.
Our dog started scratching May. His eyes were runny and he was sneezing a lot. I started him on a Benadryl generic for his allergies and this cleared up about 75% of his symptoms. I couldn't figure out what the issue was until I remembered I had changed his heartworm meds. I changed it to a 6 month injection. He lost his flea meds! Within a couple of days his scratching was just about gone. As long as he keeps going this way or the vet tells me differently, I plan on using this one!
I bought this for my dogs, and after applying it to them, they were covered in fleas again in less than a week. I cleaned my house and sprayed as well, so they're probably getting them from outside, but having flea meds on them is supposed to help prevent that. I used to buy this product all the time for my old dog, and it worked great. the past few times I've tried it, it does basically nothing. I also bought a larger dog pack for my 50 pound dog, and same thing. Still had fleas. I def wouldn't recommend wasting money on this product.
Simply did not work. I've used this product in the past and it worked well. This time, absolutely nothing. My poor Yorkie, who spends time outside each day, still had fleas after both the first and second application one month later. the application. I'm very disappointed at having spent the money on Frontline and wish I could recoup it.
This is not working at all! I've bought this several times and the last 2 times I've gotten it, it has not worked but maybe 1 week it kills them after they have already bitten my dog. It does not protect against them! It's expensive and I am tired of it not working! I need something else. I'm switching. After all these years of using it, I am done with it!
