Great Quality at a Great Price! I am Very Happy with my (200 lb capacity) Fultyme RV 1300 Bike Rack! - When your not using it, it folds up nicely and sits right on the floor. You don't have to lean it against anything and you don't have to hang it on the wall.
Very good rack for the price. After reading the 1’s and 2’s reviews I knew a few modifications were in order to beef up the rack for my 70lb eBike. The hoop mount that the tires fit in need strengthened. Easily done for a DIY guy Simply drill 1/4” hole all the way thru the center of the bracket and lock down with nut and bolt. Also replace the wing nut and bolt with a better grade nut and bolt and tighten down firmly with self locking nut.
This rack is solid and works well for my two fat tire ebikes. Its not as easy to attach to my hitch or use as my Kuat NV, but it has all the same features and is rated for more weight and is more solid with 4 inch fat tires. It also doesnt cost $500 like the Kuat.
Rated to carry 200 lbs, 2” receiver fits all our vehicles, we tested it over the Maine Scenic highways, 750 miles of travels in various road conditions. Appears sturdy, foldable and fair quality for the investment. After ordering I noticed that it stated not for use with EBikes or RVs, oops, seems fine to me.
I never know who to trust on these reviews. I assume they're all written by shills. But this one is not. I'm telling you, I searched forever for a bike rack that could hold a hefty e-bike or two, and everything online is rated for a maximum of 70lbs -140 lbs total and range in price around $400-$700.. This rack boasts the 200lb max limit that is not found anywhere else. And at this price??? I paid $118! It's like they were giving it away!!! It arrived and is solid, sturdy, sound. It worth every penny and was easy to assemble. No doubt, the best purchase I have made online in years.
Purchased this product for 68lb e-bikes. Built very well, great price. Cant go wrong with this easy to use bike carrier. Note, no ramp to load bikes.
Tough to beat this one for the price. Easy to assemble and use. It doesn't have the brand name recognition that some people seem to need on the back of their vehicles, but will save you a ton of money over those.
I got this a couple of months ago but wanted to test it well before I write a review. Well there is one more reason for the delay. I have never written any reviews on anything. Please excuse my grammar. I am giving a 4 stars for this piece of equipment for the following reasons. 1. Strength: The Bike Rack arrived in a torn package and the metal parts were sticking out of the package and seems to have gone through some rough handling. However it seems to have withstood all the rough handling and still arrived in good condition. 2. Steadiness: It is a heavy apparatus and seems to be steady. The equipment does not make any rattling noise and the bikes does not have any wobbling issues. I carry two bikes weighing around 100 lbs and and it seems to handle the weight with no problem. 3. Wheel Support: The Bike Wheel holders were slightly bent when they arrived. However it still seems to hold the bike wheels in place very well. 4. Bike Tube Support: The J Hook clamps holds the top tube of the Bike steady. The Brake cable runs below the top tube of most bikes and that is why I did not want to buy a Bike Rack where you hang the bikes which can damage the brake cable. The Platform Bike Racks are better as per my understanding. I have seen similar Bike racks for $200, $300 and $400 in other stores. At Walmart the price is good. The Bike rack works just fine for me.
Got this bike rack for our e-bikes. It was easy to assemble. I mounted it in the receiver of our tow car. It will also work on our rv if we don't take the tow. Great product so far for the price. It was even cheaper than Amazon at the time of purchase w/free shipping and received it in 4 days.
I purchased this hitch/bike rack to support two Revi Cheetah e-bikes. These are big bikes, each with large, 26", fat-tires weighing approximately 70-80 lbs. It works! However, for our particular bikes, it requires some modifications and extra reinforcement for ensuring the bikes remain secure onto the bike rack during transport. This hitch rack would work way better (for me), if the center post was just a few inches taller. Nonetheless, it does work to transport our bikes to various bike trails we want to use, and it doesn't rattle and otherwise seems strong enough to carry our bikes safely. For our particular bikes we use extra safety measures to secure and protect our bikes onto the carrier as the top, center hooks are not long enough to go over and around the tank covers of our bikes which have resulted in some dings and scratches to those tank covers. Nonetheless, for the price point, it's worth the effort to take extra measures for our particular ebikes with this rack. I imagine for most other bikes, this hitch rack would work very well, even for heavy electric bikes. I probably will replace the weak Velcro tire straps with something more secure and reliable, but the ones that come with the bike rack do work to some degree. Given the design of our bikes, I doubt there is a hitch rack that can support two of these bikes without similar issues. Had the center hooks that secure the top bar of the bikes been a little longer and wider and the tire straps had better quality velcro, I'd give it 5 stars instead of 4. For the price, it's hard to beat. Sure, you could spend a lot more for this feature or that feature available on other hitch rack bike carriers, (I researched many of them), but it's not always necessary. But, if you want a common-sense, heavy-duty bike carrier at a great price, the Fultyme RV 1300 hitch mount, 2-Bike Rack is hard to beat. Oh, and make sure if you put this on your car, truck or RV that you allow for the extra space needed to park it in your garage with the hitch on and rack folded (2-3 feet). Otherwise, you're going to need to take if off and on with each use and with the threaded-bolt hitch pin, it takes extra time to install/uninstall.
