I much prefer this Gaia brand syrup over Sambucol liquid (we do use the chewable Sambucol lozenges as well as this syrup though). This is much more concentrated so you only need to give your child around 1/2 a teaspoon at the first sign of a cold or sniffle and continue taking it morning and night until recovered. As an adult, I take around 1 teaspoon twice. a day when I'm fighting a cold.

I have tasted it but I like the package and the size is big enough for a whole family to take. It's been certified organic by USDA and the ingredients are pure and simple which I like. The most important thing is it has high ratio of elderberry concentrate. You don't want to waste money on eating and taking sth you don't need. 5 ml dosage is fair to me and the children can also take it is rare and amazing!!

On the one hand this doesn't taste so sweet and sugary like the ones commonly found at drug stores. But in the other had is does not taste disgusting like the super intense ones at health food stores. I've tried many and this one has the cleanest quality ingredients.
