Small Underwater Floating Light and Fountain for Swimming Pools

We put ours into the pool last night. It worked fine, shot up about 4 feet and the color show was magnificent. The kids loved it. It was easy to assemble. I read all the ratings and followed the recommendation to use waterproof marine duct tape to cover the 4 D cell battery compartment. The person also recommended taping on a small flat river rock to the bottom. I used two small river rocks and you need to make sure you don't cover up the air hole that sucks up the water for the fountain. It helps with balance and keeping it at the right water level. I am so impressed with the ratings and recommendations from Walmart Customers. I copied the instructions and have copied them into this. I took it right out after we were done and put it into a same place to dry out between uses. I also bought the $5 insurance. Maybe that was overkill but I really wanted it to work and it did! WATER PROOF BASE W/MARINER DUCT TAPE PRIOR 2 USING 06/14/2013 Since a lot of negative feedback was given...I decided to "water proof" this product PRIOR to putting in our pool. I used water proof "mariner quality" duct tape over the compartment where the water will enter. So far no water leaking into the battery compartment! NO RUST! When it's time to change the batteries...I will take off the tape...put in the new batteries AND re-seal the battery compartment AGAIN. It's not too much of a hassle. Additionally, to keep the product in the center of the pool I "added" a small "flat" stone, affixed with a small piece of the mariner duct tape, the flat river rock taped to the bottom of the product makes for a great anchor. You can also tape a med.-to-heavy weight "washer" to the bottom, I prefer the flat smooth river rock...then I don't have worry about the "washer" becoming rusted. Be sure you REMOVE product from water when not in use. Dry thoroughly, if needed. The spray height reached approx. 4 Ft. at times...sometimes LESS-approx. 3 ft.- I don't know why, when I figure it out...I'll post again. BE SURE TO PLACE YOUR "WEIGHT" IN AN AREA THAT WILL NOT BLOCK THE SUCTION/FLOW ON THE BASE OF PRODUCT. If your product arrived "cracked" Walmart is always great about returns, damage products, defects from manufacturer. Just keep the receipt and explain to the Rep. at customer service what happened. I hope my suggestions help!

Bought this item after reading all the reviews. Many stated issues with it leaking, I fortunately have not had any issue as of this date. I do remove it from the pool after we are done in the evening. Not all the bright as other reviews stated, but in a 26' pool you shouldn't think it is going to light it all up. It is doing its intended purpose and the grandkids love it.

I use my Aquaglow in my fountain. It starts out pulling in a nice amount of water and emitting an equally impressive amount of water but over time it emits less and less water. It seems to me that the vent at the bottom gets clogged with debris that may find its way into the water and it impedes the amount of water flowing into the pump inside the device. Overall it does what is advertised, but it should be supervised. Goes well for about 5 minutes then starts to lose it's intensity of water flow, but the lights are nice... They put on nice show as advertised.

Very easy to set-up. Requires 4 D batteries not included. Slide them in and set it in pool and turn it on. Works as advertised. Nice light show at night. That simple. Only negative, it does not stay in place as no way to keep in tethered.

Wonderful water fountain! I have a quick set pool, 18feet W 48inches deep. This is perfect! It does the job, but the lights don't cover a large area. This is the perfect amount of light for what I was looking for- not too much not too little. If you really want to light up a smaller pool like ours, you'll need more than one. I love it!

I bought it for our party, and it did look great on the pool. However, it only lasted a couple hours and I had to replace the batteries. It takes 4 D batteries. It used up 8 D batteries completely, just to keep it going from 7pm-midnight. Looks very nice when working at full strength, but water weakens to a smaller fountain size way too soon.

I ordered this product online which may have been my problem. When I picked it up at Walmart it appeared to have been a used product. The outer caseing was worn/scuffed. the protective mid rubber piece was off center. The Manager said I could take it home and try it so I did. The water spray feature started and looked good then started to slow down alot. The colors in the pool were not bright at all..I tried new batteries, cleaning the product, and still I had the same outcome. I will be returning this product soon.

The fountain is beautiful and works well while batteries are fully charged, the downside is that after just 3 nights (1 hour each day) the batteries were gone. Product uses 4 D batteries which are not cheap! I returned it after 4 days.

The batteries only last an hour or so, and then the water flow is only a trickle. I also had to tape the battery compartment so that water would not seep in.

It takes 4 D batteries. With in an hour the fountain water was half the size. It drains the batteries way too quick! I took it back.
