Prepare one half pound of your favorite spaghetti. Then heat this chill for one minute in a covered container in the microwave. Then combine the spaghetti and chili with beans. I like the 32 grams of protein. I like the can's flip-top opener, but dislike the corrugated can sides. I like the
The best canned chili I've ever eaten. The medium heat builds just enough to prove I ate something flavorful, and I am very sensitive to heat. Some might call this mild. There is NO bitterness. That's something I can't stand in canned chili, and this has none. I was able to add some red bean, yellow corn, and onion add ins, and I ended up stretching one can over four meals (for myself). Made one a chilidog bowl with a chopped up veggie dog, mustard, onions. Delicious! I'm losing weight, and this product makes such a satisfying chili meal! Love it and just ordered a 4pack.
I was pleasantly surprised. It tastes just like meat based chili and it's not packed with too many beans like the other brands. Even my non vegetarian husband couldn't tell the difference.
An excellent texture and taste. Mild not hot and spicy, but you can always add a tsp or so of hot n spicy red pepper. Of course the price is too high, but it's really good/delicious plant base food. Excellent lunch, makes fantastic corn chips and chili pies. But - if the price goes up, any, I won't buy it. But if you can afford it, it's so yummy!
Impossible to tell that this chili is plant-based. Flavor-wise it's a bit bland and many people will want to tweak it to their own tastes. For me that required stirring in some Valentina hot sauce and a dash of vinegar before heating. This chili is quite thick, even after heating. If you like your chili a bit more soupy add a little extra liquid before heating.
You make a plant base product with more saturated fats than a meat produt????? I am so disappointed, though I found a good thing. i cannot even eat the one can I opened, will return the other 5. The national brand vegetarian chilli was fat free!!!!!!!
I ordered 3 cans on line. Every one of them are badly dented. Cans I would never have bought had I seen them in the store. They never should have been sold. The integrity of the cans are comprised and there is no way to be sure of the safety of the contents. WalMart should be more conscious about the quality they send.
Both tins arrived dented; one tin had a fairly small dent, the 2nd tin a very deep dent. They will have to be exchanged. Hopefully, the replacements will be safe to use; however, after reading reviews on a variety of brands of tinned products, dents are very common.
Every single can was dented, making all 4 inedible. As I am currently disabled and also unable to print a return label, I cannot return the products. Very disappointing
This stuff is really nasty, and it is also too salty and I could not even add any other season to try to make it taste a little better it was soupy in liquid so i threw it out.
