This GB non-contact voltage tester is great. This is my second one. My grown Son ended up snitching my first one. I have owned other brands but they turned out to be unreliable in detecting low voltage especially. I don't remember the brand of the one I had which registered that the circuit dead but.....the circuit was not dead. Any person with a fair amount of electrical work experience KNOWS to always treat the wiring like it is hot until you ground it yourself. I burned a hole in the junction box. I threw that one out right then.... This GB GVD-3504 tester has proven reliable and it fits great in my tool belt or even in my shirt pocket.

Works good but it's very touchy. You'll have to know what you're doing, otherwise you'll get a false reading.
