Komelon WSL2812 12ft Self-Lock Tape Measure

Sure, it's made in China. That doesn't take away from the fact it is well built and the self-lock feature is long overdue in a tape measure. I paid $3.17 for mine and consider that a great value. Try one if you get a chance and you just might agree.

For the price, it was a bargain. I especially like the feature where it locks itself as you extend it. Sturdy construction, belt clip, no complaints.

I bought 4 of these to use in my shop. For years I used a single tape measure and found myself wasting time looking for it here and there. Now I keep one of these at each machine area in the shop. The bright color is easy to spot from a distance. The locking/retracting mechanisms are smooth and solid. Small enough to carry in a pocket, yet long enough to measure any of my shop tasks. You can't beat the price!

I don always want to carry a heavy 25' tape on my belt and the nylon coated blade is great ,I love the color on the case, green is easy to see if you put it down on a table that is cluttered or in a bag. . The self lock is a great feature . The self lock on mine now works when it wants to, but I still love it and would still buy it again.

I loved this tape measure when i forst pirchased it, but “self-lock” stopped working pretty quickly and there is no way to lock it at all! I have to try and hold it in place while using it. Pretty worthless at this point. Disappointed.

Like that it stops when you pull to measure. HOWEVER, if you are looking for a tape with fractions of an inch on it, this one ALSO does not have it even though the picture looks otherwise.

The self lock stays out which is handy. But after only three months of intermittent use, when I put the tape measure down, it immediately starts pulling in even though I didn't push the button. That makes it sort of useless because there is no way to keep it out!
