I really like the product. I was glad I read the reviews before purchasing because they gave me more info than the product description. Quick start guide is worthless. Download the manual. Has all the features I wanted in a handheld GPS plus extras. Once I got started with it I found it easy to use and fun.
My first hand held. Good starter handheld just has basics. Once I learned the little toggle switch controlled everything it got easy to operate. Highly recommend going online and printing the real manual. Couldn't figure out anything from the starter manual in package.
This GPS handheld was exactly what I needed to use while enjoying my hobbies of hunting and metal detecting. Thanks Garmin for a system easy to use and understand.
This thing works great for what I needed it for! It's easy to use and more accurate than what I had imagined. I use mine for finding property markers and as a tool for finding my way back out of the woods after a long week of hunting and living off the land.
It fits nicely in hand. Instructions are hard to follow to learn how to use it. Tutorials on YouTube on how to use the Garmin eTrex 10 were extremely helpful. Went geocaching with it the day after I watched videos and programmed GPS and found several geocaches with great accuracy. Can't wait to learn more.
This GPS had many options and did meet or exceed my expectation, but the screen was too small for me. I believe it would be a great tool for someone with near perfect eyesight. That is my only issue with it; I returned it today.
It's simple ,easy to use and right on the mark every time so far for me and I have been @ least 10 miles away from my campsite and used it to find my way right back to the camp. This was 3 days after I got it.
It could be hard to use if you don't know anything about GPS's. The manual does not give very good detail on how to program the instrument to use. Otherwise, a good product.
I use it making tracks to new hunting spots and back., The Garmin eTrex 10 is great, only down fall is Garmin dosent send a user manual, you need to download one to learn how to use it.
It took a little bit of effort to get used to. How ever it wasn't to difficult. Down loaded the complete owners manual for some realy useful information.
