This Garnier soft black hair dye is a very rich smooth vibrant black hair color. It is not dull, it is very shiny. Goes on very good and it seems not not fade as easily as some other dyes do. The smell is not too bad, some of the dyes have a very strong smell to them. I have been dying my hair for a long time, I have used about all of the dyes out there but this dye is one of my favorites, and if you are looking for a very good hair dye product to do easily at home or even take to a salon, then this is a very good choice. This hair dye last quite awhile and also is good for your hair, not too many harsh chemicals. There are treatments that you can use if you dye your hair a lot or it is chemically damaged. I recommend giving your hair time to repair itself between dyes, not to overly chemically process your hair too much.

The Garnier Color Sensation Rich Long Lasting Color Cream Hair Color Kit is so easy to use. The kit is a dark brown color; in your kit box there will be gloves, instructions, hair coloring brush, after color conditioner, developer bottle, and colorant cream. The instructions are in English and Spanish for either full head or root touch up. Both ways are three step processes with the total being 25 minutes regardless of what you decide to do. I did not test this on myself because I have brown hair; my tester had brown hair with grays; You could say even a mixture of a salt and pepper hair consistency, so that is who my tester was. We followed all instructions and the tester was pleased with the results. The tester's hair is now a dark brown like the box with a little light brown/chestnut color mixed in; the tester also has a few grays still showing due to missing a few spots. Even though it worked great there was a con: Gloves are too small- Gloves are small in size; large gloves fit me well these have to be a medium ( I would guess). They would not fit on my hands, so my tester had to use the gloves.

Packaging does not stand out. Product description is clear and easy to understand. Package gives me a good idea on how color will turn out. Back of package has clear instructions on how to apply and how long to keep in for best color. There is a warning to prevent incorrect use. package is sealed to prevent tampering. When I opened package I found plastic gloves, A bottle of developer, a tube of color sensation, and a package of conditioner to apply after rinsing out solution. While solution was on I did not feel any burning or other chemical irritants. I had more than enough solution to cover my entire head and mustache areas . color came out great and looked close to color on package. I really liked the results and would recommend this product to my friends.

I loved this hair color. It was super easy to apply, and didn't have a horrible, harsh smell. The color looked very natural and my hair was silky and soft. The best part is that the black looked super shinny. In the past I have used hair color that left the black looking dull, but this was not the case. I would totally recommend this hair color.

I was a little nervous considering all the reviews about the burgandy color but I am actually content with the color. I originally bleached my hair (my hair then use splat crimson red but it ended up being like a pink reddish sort of color the I brought the garnier hollywood rouge and it definitely gave me the exact color on the box. so happy it turned out perfect!!

I actually feel in love with this hair color product, I applied it on Feb. 27. this has been 18 days ago, my hair has been washed app. 8 times, and I continue to have the rich medium brown color that I applied. The color goes on good, its a creamy mixture that is thick enough that it does not drip or run when applying. I will continue to use this product as long has I continue to cover the gray.I will recommend this product to everyone who wants to cover your gray or just brighten your hair color, or even go for a different shade.

I really like this product! I have never tried this brand before and I will be looking for other colors from this brand. Just a note to pay attention to the color on the box, because that is exactly what you will get. I got the blue black and it is a true blue black. I didn't expect it to be so dark, but it's growing on me. I really like the color. It has a nice berry smell, unlike some that I have tried before, having that strong smell that leaves your eyes watering. The instructions are easy to follow and understand. The gloves are semi-glued to the paper and are hard to see against the paper. The gloves need to be a little thicker I put my thumb nail through the end when I was working it in. It didn't run all over it is thick and manageable to get down to the roots. After you put it on it kind a tingles like it's bubbling, never had that happen before. It's easy to open the application bottle and the color tube. They give advice on putting the gloves on before you open the bottle and color tube, but I have trouble opening them with the gloves on. I would recommend this brand to all my family and friends.

Well the color is amazing. Vibrant, great overall coverage although I needed two bottles. And great price. I've gotten many compliments. However, this is a pain to rinse out. I have washed my hair three times since rinsing it, and it still is not all out. If there is some easier way I'd love to know what that is. But aside from that, this product colors very well.

I have been dying my hair for a number of years. I generally use LOreal but I have been wanting to try this. I loved the color......used darkest brown and it blended very well with the rest of my hair color which is a soft black. I have alot of grey around my scalp and this covered it pretty well. I probably could have used 2 boxes to really saturate it but. I am still waiting to see how long it lasts. So far I would say it worked just fine. I wear my hair up and out of my face so as you can see, two weeks in, the roots are still covered. I gave it 4 stars because I thought the conditioner could have been much better. It didn't make my hair silky smooth like other conditioners.
