The Laptop was here on time right when I was going to get a refund my neighbor showed up at my door with it. before finalizing my decision on a refund I was lead to give it a try sense it was here and it did more then enough far as printing. A different Web browser smooth layout for design amazingly great technology, Love your support from Walmart always making sure the product is delivered safely and full functioning.
I Alove how lightweight the laptop is. The display is great as well. Speed is great and the set up was nice and easy. Great price as well. Best laptop I have had for general use. ALSO it came with a 1 year subscription for OFFICE 365. That was an awesome bonus!
Used to purchase Gateway laptops and desktop years ago. Love that this brand is back. This is not an expensive unit so you can't expect tons from performance, but I am actually very surprised about both the build quality and the screen quality. This laptop seems to be very well put together and seems solid. The screen is actually 1920x1080 which most laptops in this price range are lower resolution. The screen looks sharp and crips. Would definitely recommend for a beginning laptop for anyone.
This is actually a pretty good laptop for the money. I've bought a bunch of these "streambooks" over the years for family, they do what they need to do with the least amount of money spent possible. Sometimes you need more than a Chromebook, and these do it. The downside is these machines are pretty much the bare minimum that Windows 10 will run on. They're relatively slow. And at default you can only install apps through the Microsoft Store. The screen on this machine is really nice, plenty bright enough and really sharp. 1080P at 14" is pretty much the sweet spot for me, and to get a machine with this quality screen for the money is really nice. The webcam isn't great but does the job for the virtual meetings we're all doing so much of these days. My biggest complaint with these machines is the CPU and storage. The CPU is basically equivalent what we'd find in a ~10 year old desktop, so it does the job but it isn't anything amazing. The storage is small (only 64GB and Windows eats about half that) and slow eMMC - slower than a hard drive. The keyboard is very nice actually, better than a MacBook's. A huge bonus is this machine comes with a year of Microsoft 365 for free - including 1TB of cloud storage. That is a $70 value. I encourage anyone who buys this machine, take advantage of this - OneDrive is really nice. The gist is this: if you have basic needs (checking email, doing Word documents, etc) you will be fine with this machine provided you have patience and can wait for it to catch up.
So far so good. Getting used to a PC again after several years of Chromebook use. Disappointed in Microsoft, again, solitaire and jigsaw games are a joke compared to goggles. Gateway startup should go to selected pages as in settings, but No, goes to picture of cow then you have to double click Edge icon to get to start-up page. Description was misleading, my model, yes, least expensive, does not have finger print sign in. I think I would have been better to have bought a refurbished PC on Ebay.
Not a good experience. I bought an out dated chromebook that had a better experience. It only connect to 2g network.no option for 5 g plus it keeps glitching out of the box. The driver display is bad on the one I ordered
Awful computer! Cheaply made and delayed response to any function on the computer. Will not connect or even pickup my 5g network at home. I have purchased Hp laptops in the same price range and they were a lot better than this Gateway! I am returning it!
It crashes a lot in the middle of typing. I would like to exchange it for something else. Gate way has always been slow before. I guess I paid for what I get.
Bought it brand new and on its first day of use, screen started turning black multiple times and wouldnt connect to Internet either 2Gor 5G. Also, wouldnt connect to Bluetooth.
Bought laptop for work. Set it up then screen went black and never came back on. This was the same day it came in the mail. Brought back to store for full refund. Very disappointing.
