Excellent nuggets,description was exactly what was desired. The nuggets are like the ones you get at chick- fil-A or at a hospital. Great machine and a great way to safely eat ice while sipping your favorite beverage. I bought this one because it had one of the best ratings. If you are undecided about this nugget ice machine,I guarantee you will not be disappointed with it 😉. This one came with a side tank and scoop for the ice.I would highly recommend the side tank if you like ice like we do.I purchased this for my wife for Christmas, It's the gift that Keeps giving!!☺️

I have owned a few ice makers over the years and this is by far the best one I have owned. The side tank is a complete game changer for me because I no longer have to fill my ice maker daily with water. It is also the quietest one that I have owned. It has only been a couple of weeks since I have received it, but I am completely satisfied with the ice maker so far. I did purchase the warranty just in case there are any issues.

I looked over many, many ice makers before deciding on this beauty! I did my research on reviews, price, quality, warranty, type of ice, cleaning difficulty, and more. After days of reviews, I decided to buy this opal ice maker and I am SO glad I did! I appreciate the fact that this ice maker comes with the side reservoir so if I plan on needing a lot of ice, I dont have to worry about refilling the main reservoir over and over. The downside to the side reservoir is it gets slimy feeling inside the gray part faster than I'd prefer. I stopped using it when it started getting colder outside. We use a lot of ice in my home. We like ice in our daily drinks, but we also like smoothies often. The ice is perfect for the blender! The ice is very chewable for those who enjoy that! This purchase included one filter, one screen, and one descaling packet. I read in other reviews that the filter can strain the motor so I chose not to use it, and just use the screen. I only use bottled water in this so I dont have much worry about an extra filter. I did purchase a 6 pack of descaling packets. While I waited to get them, I did clean my machine with vinegar. I didn't notice a big difference in my ice, between being cleaned with the descaling powder and the vinegar. I love that the machine light will notify when its time to clean, but I also swipe my finger inside the water reservoir to feel for any slimy spots. If its slimy before it says its time to clean, I clean anyway. I also located a video on youtube that a guy shows beginning to end on how to take all the hoses inside the machine, and reservoirs, apart, clean, and put back together. It was about a 2 hour total process for him as experienced. I havent done that cleaning process yet. I wanted to wait about 6 months and do it twice a year with the descaling cleanings in between. I love seeing this beautiful machine sitting on my counter! The LED lights shining on the ice bin, the stainless steel, the side reservoir filled, it just looks beautiful! The pictures dont do it justice! I did decide to place it beside my sink for easier cleaning. It fits perfectly under my cabinets. Make sure you measure before you purchase! One more inch and mine wouldnt have fit. I enjoy that the ice will melt back into the reservoir of not used. The machine does not keep the ice cold. I open my ice bin anout 6 times a day. When I do, I usually have to use the scoop that came with the machine, to break up the ice a bit. I usually do that about 10 minutes before I want to get my ice out. That way, fresh ice is made when I'm ready. The ice will make when you push the bin into place. It'll stop when the bin is full or the reservoir needs filled. Ot only makes ice when the bin is opened and closed again. This ice is also perfect for keeping things cold. If you have a shrimp tray, its perfect! If you need to keep a bowl of something cold, fill a larger bowl with this ice and place the smaller bowl inside.

This was easy to install and I love that it doesn't require a hookup to water. It does make noise as other reviews indicates but only when the machine is used it recreates new ice. It does recycle the ice if it melts so it will make noise during that process as well. The noise doesn't bother us. Having ice cubes is nice because our fridge ice maker broke 6 months ago so this out weighs no ice lol :)

This is the 2nd time we’ve purchased this ice machine. We love it. My kids use it every day vs the refrigerator ice. It’s produces enough ice for parties when our regular refrigerator can’t keep up. Guests love the sonic ice. Only complaint is cleaning it takes a while and it takes up counter space on the bar but we love it. The first one we purchased we didn’t keep up with cleaning it so I think that was our fault.

OMG!!!!! I am so in love……my love gifted this to me as a late birthday gift and I am in total shock of how much I love this. The ice comes out quick, the cleaning is super easy. However the setup was confusing a bit but all in all I’m in love. I can’t believe I have Sonic/Chick-fil-A ice now in my home. I know he’s happy that he no longer has to bring me ice 2/3 times a day. This is a must have in any home.

I love this ice maker! The only thing I would dislike would be the noise. It makes a loud noise when it runs out of water, and it also blows a fan while creating the ice. But I would still rate this ice machine with five stars because the ice that it makes is perfectly soft and just like the sonic ice! My friends all ask for a cup of ice when they come for a visit!

I love a good purchase. High quality appliance that produces the best nugget ice. Looks great on counters but a lil big so make sure u have the space. Recycles the melted ice - a very nice feature. Def get the side tank! I would hate to refill the main reservoir each time. Noise, for what it produces, def tolerable. Great product GE.

Absolute PERFECTION!!! I have been ADDICTED to chewing soft crushed ice for years and FINALLY splurged and got myself one and not one regret!!!! NOT ONE!! Works perfect so far, and the ice is HEAVENLY!!! Cleaning isn’t nearly as hard as I thought it would be either. It’s actually really simple and doesn’t take long at all. And the directions take you step my step through everything. Also tip, I use white distilled vinegar to sanitize and clean mine not bleach and it works amazingly and doesn’t make me as nervous LOL. And one more, I use only distilled water in it to prevent mineral build up as fast. Get one!!! You won’t regret it!!! Don’t wait so long like I did. 😍🙏🏻🙌🏼🤤

I ordered a brand new product with the side tank, the item showed up with no side tank, and a box marked refurbished, the item was dented scratched damaged and had obvious water use previously. I tried to message the seller first they made no attempt to make it right just told me to return it which also turned into a huge ordeal and left me lugging a 50 pound ice machine 40 minutes away to our nearest Walmart and I’m still not refunded. I then ordered the newer version from Best Buy and it was delivered the next day. Will never use the cellar again
