These dark chocolate melting wafers are excellent for baking and dipping. They melt smoothly without clumping and have a rich, deep chocolate flavor that isn’t overly sweet. I’ve used them for coating strawberries, drizzling over desserts, and making homemade treats, and they set up nicely with a glossy finish. They’re easy to work with and don’t require complicated tempering, which makes them great for quick projects. The flavor tastes high quality, just what you’d expect from Ghirardelli. Definitely a go-to for baking and candy making.
So I opened the bag right away just to taste the one, and I couldn't resist. I ate about seven more. I found that having this after dinner as a snack was delicious. I bought them for some baking banana walnut bread that I was going to make and oops they're all gone! Yummo
i love using this chocolate to make my candies. It melts easily, it's creamy, it tastes great. That being said, the price increase, and less ounces per bag is making it difficult to continue using it. I mean, it's not even a pound of chocolate, and it's over $6 a bag for 10 oz .I haven't found anything as good, but I have to find something less expensive.
Best chocolate I have baked with to date and fist time using them. I made peppermint patty's and got to say this was by far my best bath yet mixing a ratio of 2 bags dark and 1 bag of milk Ghirardelle is the only chocolate I will ever bake with making cakes cookies or candy.
This makes wonderful coffe mochas, 😂!! We put 4-6 in our coffee cups, depending on size of cooking, add the hot coffe, stir then add our other things like creamers, whipped cream etc. These are great shaved on top of cake frostings too! I also bake chocolate lava cakes and use them in my Chocolate Chunk Cookies!
We love this chocolate! it is great for the dipping chocolate for our cherry mash candies. This is our go to chocolate for all of our candy melt needs
As a Pastry Chef I do a lot with cake pucks and these chocolate wafers are a dream to work with and taste like Chocolate. They make beautiful , shiny desserts.
Pretty good quality chocolate at a good price. I like to use these for making ganache, chocolate chip cookies, dipping fruit, making cake, brownies, the possibilities are endless. Much better than the Nestlé toll House type chocolate chips that have a bunch of preservatives and do not melt
There is no comparison to any of the other melting chocolates. This is absolutely the best. The only con is when I went back to get more for my cooking needs, they were out! :( I had to use another kind and it did not work or taste as good. Next year I will be buying a lot of it early.
I used this to dip my "Soft Pillows" and cake truffles in. Tried one of each after they had set up (hardened) and what a great flavor these add. I've tried other melting chips and they tasted waxy and yucky. These melting chips are the only one I'll use anymore for my candies. It was no chore to melt them. You don't have to temper the chocolate wafers. How much easier could it be ? The candy could grow legs and dip themselves.
