Other members of my family disliked the smell and said that it made it difficult for them to breathe and caused headaches. I think that if we could control how often it sprayed, it may not have been so bad for them.

I love the pear smell and these refills are easy to use. It lasts a long time too and I've got mine set to go off every 36 minutes. I would highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refill spray has a nice scent - it smells like pears and vanilla - it makes the house smell so good like you're always baking something. I think it would be perfect for the winter holidays as something other than the traditional pumpkin and apple/cinnamon scents. It was easy to use in the glade automatic dispenser. The can says that it also works in air wick dispensers but I did not have one of those to try it out. The fragrance was not at all overpowering. I love coming home and walking in to smell it.

However when I moved it to the open concept main floor it was still noticeable but not over bearing to the point it bothers you but you definitely can't miss it.
