Glass Stove Top Whistling Tea Kettle, 12 Cup/48oz, German Made Borosilicate Glass

LOVE The look of this kettle! The whistle is not annoying like on other tea kettles. You do have to remove the plastic lid to pour though. Not a problem! I also love the fact that you can see the water level inside. Best of all…it absolutely won’t rust!

I love these glass stove top kettles. I've had many over the years. They usually end up getting broken after about a year or two. I love their clear glass look and they are made of tampered glass. Good for tea, milk tea or coffee. They are a great addition. I usually order them from Amazon but this time I decided to go with Walmart because of the price difference. I ordered two and both came broken. It was poorly packaged. No individual wrapping or boxing. They just threw them in one big box and one arrived with its top cut off and the other with a crack at the top. I started a return and the W app gave me an option to replace them so I've opted for that and I'm hoping these won't break too.

It says 12 cups in description but in fact it's only 48 oz max, that is 6 US cups, twice smaller. Why don't they write 48 oz in description? Also you can only use it on medium heat, that would take it too long for me. I'm returning it

I have been using these past almost 5 years. This time after using it for a month when I was cleaning it, the top glass part just fell out. See the image. I am very disappointed with the quality or may be it was a defective piece.

I used it on a propane stove, and it worked great. The trivet that it comes with for electric stove tops WILL BURN. I used it one time and I noticed a slight discoloration. I had the heat on medium low. The second time I used it it was smoking, turned black, and my water was not boiling at all. The water was cold when I took it off of the stove. The metal trivet these come with are not good for use, he will have to buy one from another company.

Because when it arrived one was broken plus it wasn't marked fragile glass nothing it was just put in a box it should've been wrapped in styrofoam and bubble wrap

I got the 12-Cup Glass Stove Top Whistling Tea Kettle at the end of April and was very happy with it until yesterday. I was using it every day to brew tea. I did not have a problem with the plastic lid as other customers have noted. I always used it as recommended and over medium heat. Unfortunately, yesterday while heating up the water to make tea, I heard a crack and as I tried to move it to find out what happened, the bottom detached completely and all the hot water spilled over the range, floor, etc. Fortunately, I was not burnt. I love the design and the price, but based on this experience, I will not be able to give it high marks or to recommend this product.

I bought this tea pot for my mother's birthday and she absolutely LOVED it. I even used it a couple of times even though the whistling sound got kind of annoying. Unfortunately EXACTLY six months after she got it the bottom of the pot melted onto the burner. I have no idea what kind of material this pot is really made out of but it can't be glass. I have never seen glass melt I've seen it break. My question is if I like this tea pot will the manufacturer replace it?! I am now looking into getting my mom a different tea pot because this one is very questionable.

I'm writing this review in hopes that the manufacturer or Walmart can explain what are the crystal like particles in the water. I read about this in previous reviews on Amazon regarding this same kettle but ignored it due to only being mentioned by two people. I boiled my water for the coffee followed the instructions of not heating it empty or scratching . after I poured my coffee some water remained, when I went to clean the kettle I lifted it to the light and some crystal like particles appeared as mentioned in the Amazon review. I washed the kettle reheated the water in the kettle and lifted it to the light a second time and didn't see any particles , but when I poured most of the water away and a little remained the particles were visible again.im guessing they are hard to see when the kettle is full of water. I'm not sure if the glass is leaking or what this is , but it's very concerning to say the least. I would like to return this product but don't know if this is possible as I discarded the box. very disappointed l, as everything about this kettle was perfect for my everyday use, only downside is the unexplainable mystery particles leaking in the water . I've attached a photo , they are hard to see in the image but they glisten. this occurs even with distilled water leading me to believe it's the kettle.

The cap is broken, came in broken doesn’t fit.
