I am absolutely in love with the color of this paint. I attached an image so you can see how it looks on the wall because the difference surprised me in the best way. The coverage was amazing, even with just my test area it covered really well. I'm using this color in our bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen/living space, and it works perfectly in every room. The color is absolutely beautiful. It's not exactly gray, it's more like a deep beige with a subtle gray undertone, which blends together into one gorgeous color. Overall, it's easy to use, covers well, and looks stunning on the walls. I'm really happy with how it turned out.
Used eggshell SPRED, Storm's Coming. Nice neutral greige but a little lighter than I thought. Eggshell finish is nice, not any noticeable sheen. I used it over a very light grey, in newer construction. Covered well with 2 coats even though newer drywall soaked it up (which was expected). A darker color would take more to cover, but that's any brand. The ‘grab and go' needs a lot of stirring, also expected. Overall, pleased and unless you need something super durable, this is great for the price.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Glidden paint products have never disappointed me. I am so happy with the quality and results of this Glidden kitchen and Bath plus laundry paint and primer. It's the perfect paint and primer I needed for the job. It's great for the bathroom with the steam shield technology. It's scrubbable and it's stain resistant. It gives a mildew protection. These features make it very suitable for Bath, Kitchen and Laundry. I am happy with the results of this eggshell base. White color is what I wanted and it looks bright and nice. No odor after drying. Walls look fresh and clean.
Very easy to use and good coverage.
This is one of the more useful budget lines of paint I have used. It apples easily and covers pretty well over prepared surfaces with brush and roller. I dropped a star because it required a lot of mixing straight from the opening of the can before it was useful. If you buy this paint, do yourself a favor and get a stir for your cordless drill and it will save a lot of time and effort. I will use this paint again.
Color of paint is fantastic. LightGrey when cloudy out and more beige when sunny. No odor at all. Negatives: it is eggshell texture and took 2-3 coats to cover the streaking. I have painted for years and never had such problems. Recommend semi gloss.
I've used Glidden paint many times in the past and always been pleased with the coverage and quality. Unfortunately, I think the order received today is sub-par for the brand. When open it appeared more watery then normal. I used a paddle mixer and drill to mix long enough to insure the entire pail of paint was thoroughly mixed, even adding a couple minutes mix time. I am attempting to cover a light pastel blue 19 X 22 room. I chose a test area of 8' W X 10'H and rolled out the first coat. Allowing recommended time to dry I then applied the second coat. In summary, it will take at least one if not two more coats in order to get complete coverage of the blue. But that a job for tomorrow, maybe. I'm leaning toward placing the 2 gallons I purchased today in storage and ordering a different paint and possibly a different color. I'm "gun shy" now and questioning whether I just got the one lemon pail out of the pallet or if every bucket of Storm's Coming is like this. However, I will note I've used Glidden paint many times in the past and this is the first time I have been disappointed in their product.
The color was not even close to the one on the can, it was like a yellow green. I did a test area thinking it would change as it dried, it did not. Even with primer, it took 3 coats in my test area to eleven get semi coverage. Would not purchase again.
It spreads like water, there is zero coverage or volume to it. The color is also not grey, but comes out brown, even after shaking and stirring and mixing. It adds zero color when painted, Would not use again, rather go get it mixed yourself.
i have purchased 3 cans of thos paint . originally loved the color ... so i painted my living room. and dining room . upon finishing up with the last can i went back through to do touchups and the paint is not the same . it is way darker and now i have to repaint the enitie area !!!! what a waste of money
