A helpful repairman recommended this product for our aging dishwasher. It has worked very well to get the machine clean, especially to clean the disposal system.
I am the type of person that goes above and beyond to keep my appliances in tip top working order. Keeping every inch free of grime is my top priority. Glisten Dishwasher Magic Cleaner is my last step to ensure my dishwasher is able to do its job as well as it did the first time I ran it. I love all your products.
I do not often write product reviews, however, I feel compelled to write this one. Our dishwasher died and purchasing a brand new one was not in the budget. I found one secondhand that seemed in pretty good shape, but true to our geographical location and our extremely hard water, the inside of the dishwasher was coded in lime scale. I bought a bottle of Glisten Dishwasher cleaner would they have hearted hope that it would at least improve the situation. I follow the directions to the letter, and when I opened my dishwasher after the cycle was done I literally couldn't believe my eyes. The interior of my dishwasher looked brand new, no lime scale, except on the gasket around the door, which is completely understandable. It smells good. It looks good, and it's performing beautifully. Thank you so much Summit Brands. You will definitely have a returning customer and I will be mentioning your product to family and friends.
the smell was very good for a new lady. she never used a dishwasher and loved it
My Miele repairman suggested I purchase the Glisten products and after using them my dishwasher's insides sparkled and looked brand new. I'm completely sold and hopefully the calcium deposits will stop accumulating.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used Glisten Dishwasher Magic Machine Cleaner - 12 fl oz. and was pleasantly surprised! This is definitely the best cleaner I have tried! Others I have used have to be repeated 2 or 3 times! This product only needed to be used once to make a huge difference to my dishwasher. Left it clean and smelling fresh, with all stains and marks gone! Looks brand new inside!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dishwasher had been smelly and was not working very well. So I used Dishwasher Magic by Glisten in hopes that it would help it to work correctly again- and it did! The smell is gone and my dishes are coming out clean again. The crud from my hard well water is gone. This stuff is really a must have for all dishwasher users.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought that this dishwasher cleaner was kind of pricey for a one time use bottle, but after trying it, I am very pleased! And, it was so easy to use - simply take the cap off, place upside down in a secure location in your empty dishwasher, and run it on the hottest cycle. My dishwasher was sparkly clean when I opened it! I will definitely be purchasing this every so often to keep my dishwasher in tip top shape!
Got this product because of rave reviews and the fact that I have a terrible smell in my dishwasher that I have not been able to resolve. To use, I selected the hottest, longest dish cycle and put the unit in the silverware basket as instructed. I also ran the kitchen sink faucet until the water was 146 degrees F before starting up the dishwasher. I even periodically ran the faucet during the cycle to keep the hot water readily available to the machine. After the cycle was done, there was only a tiny pinhole in wax. I squeezed it to check and I was able to squirt liquid out, so I'm not sure if any was released or not. Ran it again, doing the same all over again, wax melted a little more, but still not all the way, only half the bottle was used. I'm not sure what to do, I'm guessing the product isn't working like it should, seems like a waste to run another cycle with the rest of the bottle. Maybe these should be placed on the bottom rack between the tines instead of the silverware basket? I've read they're supposed to melt at 125F, but the water coming off of my line is 146F when measured, so I'm not sure what the problem is. I feel like I wasted my time, water and money. I almost bought two or three of these to run consecutively, but now I am glad I did not.
This product looked like what I needed for my dishwasher. It did make the machine smell fine. But I set it up for "heavy" (machine clean) & extra hot. It left a milky white film on the bottom. When I pulled out the filter, it was worse than before. I wash it monthly & after the 3hr cleaning cycle, it was full of tiny bits of grease & the interior was caked with grease. It's now soaking in hot, soapy water & I'm cleaning it with a toothbrush.
