Goody Domed Tight Barrettes 3"

In the last few years it has become difficult to find barrettes that are 3 inches long with side slide closure. Ive received ones that are sold with dimension that include 3 ", but I think it referred to the cardboard holder.I prefer the slide ones to the pinch closure that are so common now. I think these hold my hair in a bun better.

I looked everywhere for these, can't find them in the store any longer. These are a little smaller than the one's we used to get, about an inch shorter but work just the same. Are exactly like the one's from the 70''s and 80's. They work great for long and silky or straight hair.

These are the standard classic curved large but lightweight metal barrettes that work well even on fine slippery hair. The large size easily holds a ponytail worth of average thickness hair. They hold well and the dome curve is comfortable. These have become hard to find in stores- they used to be widely available. These hold well even when swimming, but pool water damages their finish over time.

The total smoothness of all areas of the metal barrettes is fantastic! My hair is gray, changed texture and seems fragile, so I particularly wanted a fine smooth surface that would not snag the hair. The barrette is designed so that when closed there is a tight fit for over an inch in the middle, with less tight along the rest, the sides. The price is excellent.

These were big enough to be useful with my thick hair.

Got the barrettes pretty quick for having to come from NY, I believe. Not sure why local store no longer carries.

Will work for making handmade beaded barrettes. Large enough for this purpose so looking forward to completing the project. On their own, hair does tend to slip through so will be better once fabric and beads in place. Have been looking online for a while and finally located here at Walmart!

They look nice. But, they are not as long as they were described, 4.5 inches. They are only 4 inches. They do not hold hair as tight as my previously bought barrettes. The barrette gradually slides down, allowing shorter hairs to slip out and into my eyes.

From the very first time I used these, the color plating came off. Plus, I have VERY fine hair but sufficient enough that other brands hold. These came sliding out! Constantly. I am disabled so my husband does most of my returns. For these type of things, Walmart, wants YOU to bring them back. My spouse has to weigh the money we loose against his heavy schedule of working, taking care of the house and doing things that I can no longer due. He says, and he is correct, his time is worth something. However, when one adds up all the items that I could have returned to Amazon directly by mail, it puts a clear dent in our already downsized budget. Do not waste your money.
