The cart is sturdy and so far the wheels have been rolling well. The cart is lightweight and rolls through grass and gravel. We use it for yard work. The handle is lower than a regular wheelbarrow, so if you are tall it's a bit awkward but for the price it's managable and looks like it will last a while.
Title your review: Perfect helper for my yard work Your review: This is exactly what I needed to use in my yard. I have been looking for a cart that is sturdy but easy to maneuver, and this one hits the mark perfectly. The maintenance-free wheels are a huge plus because I don't have to worry about them going flat, and the 300 lb. capacity is more than enough for the bags of mulch and soil I haul around. It was relatively easy to put together, and the push/pull design makes moving heavy loads across the grass so much smoother than using a traditional wheelbarrow. Highly recommend this for anyone who needs a reliable garden companion!
The first item we bought like this is still kinda going after 33 yrs. A wheel is broken but i patched it up to work on light stuff, So i surprised my husband and got him a brand new one. it appears to be built just as well as the old one so we are thrilled!!! Hoping the new one lasts as long as the old one. the body of it is still great i am seriously considering buying new wheels so we both have one...we are a little picky about oour yard and spend a great time outside.
Second one. My relative took the other home with him and it became a gift. It is so easy to maneuver and lightweight. It hold a lot and only tips a little from side onside if tall heavy items are loaded haphazardly. Still never toppled though. Thoughtful design and worth a little extra money for no assembly, no rusty hardware. Feels sturdy and safe.
This is the second Gorilla cart I've bought because the first cart has proved tough enough to handle what I put it through. They carry hay, are filled up with manure, move heavy salt blocks and other things I need to get around in the barn. They bounce over rocks and keep going and get turned over to empty contents. Tough carts.
The wheeled cart falls short of a wheelbarrow as it is light plastic. The cart can hold quite a bit of weight, although the more weight in it, the more difficult walking will be. It doesn't have the space under the front to take larger steps as a wheelbarrow does.
This cart is much smaller than it appears in the photo's. While it can carry essentially as much as a traditional wheelbarrow, it can't do it well. It's best used for light work like a heavy trash bag, some leafs, or sticks, etc and on a relatively even, well worn or paved path. If you need to move some dirt or move things across an uneven and pitted yard or even if you need to move things any further than about 20ft and you're over 5ft tall....for the love of god save your back and time by getting a traditional wheelbarrow.
Cart works good for the money. Wheel fell off first week. Had to modify. Says it will haul 300lbs. Not sure about that but works well for light to medium yard work. I think if you spent more money you may get more of a quality cart. Going to use it till I cant.
Got this gorilla cart to be able to tote heavier items, such as bags of topsoil, sand, and wood around my yard, but I am really disappointed.Unlike a wheelbarrow if you put heavy items in it tends to fall over. This is a design flaw in my opinion. There are two front wheels and a very small back wedge base that does not adequately support the load. And if your yard is uneven that is even more an issue.; it'll be tipping over constantly not thrilled. Could handle leaves or grass clippings and small twigs but that's all.
Cart is worse in every way to both wheelbarrows and standard gorilla carts. The little wheels are insufficient to get over all but the smallest obstacles. The handles being built in, so close to the center of mass gives very little leverage and an awkward holding angle that leads to hunching your back. The front plastic for stability limits the dump angle making it hard to fully dump.
