Gorilla Heavy Duty Double Sided Mounting Tape, Black Tape, 1" x 120"

I like gorilla products. I was looking for something strong and bought the double sided tape. Worked well in my project. I wholeheartedly stand by this product.

I've used a few of the Gorilla brand products in the past few years and can say without reservation that this brand has done more to improve my life than any human being I have ever met.

Gorilla Heavy duty tape is strong!! I rough up the two surfaces to be joined with light sanding, clean both surfaces, and then join. It is super duper strong!!!!!

I purchased this tape because I have before and it did what needed to be done. Not too sure what has changed but this crap couldn't hand some 5lb curtains let alone 60 as advertised! I live in an apartment where window side the wall is concrete so I can not drill any holes to properly hang the brackets, so I thought to get this tape. Bad idea. Stayed up for about 7 minutes before the curtains and the rod crashed down to the ground. Great for simpler, lighter projects like hanging up a picture without the frame.

I did not receive this shipment and I reported it to this website. An AI operator told me that Walmart would send me another one free of charge, but I never received it. I did not even,ask for a replacement, but it was kindly offered to me and I accepted this offer. But, I have not received it, though. I have changed my delivery address to Addison Place package room, but this change does not appear in my account. Thank you.

I used this tape to attach a plastic translucent cover over an led ceiling light in my kitchen. I followed the instructions by cleaning the surfaces with alcohol, attaching the tape, and holding the monted item in place for over 1 minute. The cover that I was mounting didn't even weigh 1 pound. Within 5 minutes of mounting, I heard the light cover crash to my kitchen floor and shatter. I thought this is supposed to be strong tape that could surely hold a very light object to another surface. I was wrong and will never buy this product again!

It did not hold well, and the tape was not sticky. It would not stay attached to a 2-lb picture frame. Other items I used it on, weighing under 5 lbs, fell off my wall within a few days. I have lost picture frames and glass because of this. Even after cleaning the surfaces thoroughly, it did not stick. I wanted to use this for a 60-lb item due to the value of the frame and product I was mounting. It was a failure. It might work well for scrapbooking, but not for hanging items on walls.

Disappointed as it would not hold very long. Bought because of the product description and the reviews but didn't work well for me. Going back to Scotch brand.

This absolutely did not stick to anything and I held for minutes. It conforms but it does not stick. Based on my experience with their products, I'd be embarrassed to have this in my product list. I likely will not buy gorilla over other “sticky” names brands going forward. I think this is clear sign of poor quality. If have had super glues that have been unreliable but this confirms lack of QA at the company.

mounting tape was not able to uphold a light fixture that weighed less than 5 lbs. The item fell off my wall and broke two items.
