A great Product. Food taste better than a microwave. I cook lots of wings and fries. I like the fact that it has a temp chart on top for easy reference. I use air fryer sheets for even easier cleanup.
Great product. Got one from my dad several Years ago. This was a replacement Super easy to use, easy to clean, great for starter unit, be careful when pulling g basket from fryer if if you accidentally push button the basket will separate and holder will separate and drop
I purchased it again because it is a fantastic appliance. I am not a microwave type person, so this is a terrific alternative. Heating up or cooking it does an outstanding job!
The Gotham Steele electric air fryer is really a great product especially for the price,it's basket is a good size so you can fix a lot at once, it's easy to use and it did exactly what it claimed, I took a frozen piece of tilapia Straight from the freezer opened and put it in on 350' like it said 22 min later I had golden brown crispy on the outside juicy on the inside fish sandwich that had no oil, and was absolutely delicious, it says it has a nonstick coating and that seems to be true, it works great is priced good, easy to use, I don't think you'll be disappointed if you try it. But if you do try it and find you just don't like it you could return it. I give it 5 stars all the way.
This air fryer is really a great product! Not only do you not have to use oil to fry things which is AMAZING in and of itself, but I was able to use it to fry tons of stuff I had no idea I could ever fry! By not using oil it meant they were healthier too. I love that it came with the book because it gave me tons of ideas besides the usual fries and onion rings. I would definitely recommend this product to my friends and family!
First I would like to say that I am not a "gadget" person, which is one of the reasons that I have waited so long to try out an air fryer, now that I have tried it I am so mad at myself for waiting so long! Right out of the box it is already fully assembled, you just need to unwrap it and wash it out, then go through and read the instructions. The first thing I tried was dino chicken nuggets for my kids and being the good mom that I am I had to try them out first, oh man were they good and so crispy, my kids loved them too, usually I cook them in the toaster oven and it takes 20 min or more, these only took 10 min (there is a note in the instructions to either preheat the machine or just add 3 min to the cook time). I was unsure if I could do toast in it so tried that this morning, I put a big slice of sourdough bread in it for 3 min and it came out perfect. The controls are super simple, just 2 knobs, one for the timer which is also the "off and on" and the other for temperature. As for the size i think it is just right, on the box it says the fryer basket is 2.6L, I would say you could fit at least 2 to 3 chicken breasts with some veggies on top. I am very happy with this machine, it's just the right size, easy to use and clean, also it's very quiet when running and the food comes out tasting great, I would definitely recommend.
I don't usually try to sound like an infomercial when I write a review, but this product really is great. It is a healthy alternative to deep frying and it tastes better than just baking. My family eats a lot of prepared potatoes and chicken, such as french fries and chicken nuggets. Our lives are hectic and busy with evening meetings and conflicting schedules, so I do not always have time to prepare meals that start from scratch. When time is tight, I will usually go the prepared frozen food route because it is quick and easy. The result is usually either overcooked potatoes or limp ones. With the air fryer, they come out super crispy like as if you had taken the time to fry them. And it typically takes less time for a batch than in the oven. Plus, you don't have to wait as long for it to preheat as for the oven or deep-fat fryer. The clean-up afterward is also extremely quick and easy. I have yet to find something that actually sticks to the cooking surface. I have noticed, though, that it works best if you only cook a half bag of prepared foods at a time. So, I will normally cook a couple of batches for a full meal, since I have a large family. I have also cooked some homemade things in it when I had the time. There are tons of online recipes developed specifically for air fryers. Homemade fries were the biggest hit. The only one I didn't like that I have tried was meatloaf, as it dried the outside too much.
The Gotham Steel Electric Air Fryer with Non Stick Coating Temperature Control and Timer (As Seen on TV!) works well. This electric air fryer has temp controls and a timer and it stops when your time is at zero. You can, however, open it at any time to check your food. I tested it on several types of food: frozen fries, breaded chicken tenders and to warm up a slice of pre-cooked pizza. It basically works like a little convection oven. You do not need oil, but can add a slight amount to some foods for added crispiness. I found that the recommended time for frozen potatoes cooked them all thoroughly and crisped the top fries, but I chose to mix them and double the time to crisp them all. The tenders were the same. I do not think that I necessarily saved much time using this cooker, but I do think that it generated very little heat into my kitchen which was great as summers here are hot. I foil lined the basket and warmed pre cooked pizza. The crust stayed crispy and the cheese melted nicely. It should be noted that this item takes up a bit of cabinet space so measure what you have open to be sure it will fit. I was very impressed with the handle being cool when I removed the cooking unit. Also, the removable copper units are dishwasher safe which is value added. They fit on my top rack easily and cleaned right up. The basket held a full small bag of frozen fries. The only drawback is that you do need to open the unit to move food around often if you have more than one layer of food to crisp everything.
Gotham Steel Electric Air Fryer with Non Stick Coating Temperature Control and Timer As Seen on TV, was selected from the Wal Mart Spark Reviewer Program for my honest opinion regarding the product. I was so excited to finally get this air fryer and see what all the talk was about. I had to read the directions because I wasn't really sure if I was supposed to do what you usually do when you fry food or what. I did read that you can still use oil if you chose to but it is not required that you use oil. Cleaning this item was very easy, that is the cleaning from when it initially comes out the box. Setup was very easy as well. I can say that unlike most people, I was not too impressed with this item. For starters, I am not sure if the size was too small for what I was cooking but I cooked pork chops and it stated to set the cook time at 350 and cook for 15-20 minutes. Well on this time, the pork chops weren't close to being done. I did 15 minutes on each side and that did not work. I ended up putting the timer on 30 minutes. Even on 30 minutes, I still had flour showing. So I am not sure if it was due to the thickness of the pork chops or what it turn out the way it did but I eventually got them done. It took a little too long for me. According to the directions, you can also cook bacon with this this so I can't wait to give that a try. I definitely recommend others trying this because not everyone will have the same experience.
Didn't turn on. Had to research how it works online. (Thought that was a bit much!) Air fryer still never started. Ended up having to return at Walmart as defective.
