Always a good product, for peppers or just to have at home. It's easier to use than opening a can of tomato paste, when you only need a little bit of flavour.
You're good I like it a lot I love tomatoes. You should try it.
I LOVE this stuff for improving flavor in just about any main dish. salad dressing, condiment, or dip-- In fact, I thought about lying and telling you it is terrible so it wouldn't get hoarded--but then they wouldn't sell enough to keep producing it...either way, I'm gonna have to keep a couple extra jars in my pantry. [SIGH...]
I used it to make my own tomato paste for sauteing bell peppers and onions. Since it's pure tomato it does require some herbs and flavorings for most applications. I just made lasagna sauce with it today. It worked out great, but I did cheat with the water by using about 20% vegetable broth.
I used this to make my own seasoning blend! It was perfect, however the quantity is a lot, so I'll be searching for more recipes to use it with.
Great addition for quick meal preparation, Soups, boost a variety of your special recipes. It really beefs up gravys, salads, spaghetti sauce, dressings. Add a little or alot mixes well cold or hot I'm not afraid to experiment with this product in the kitchen.
Making my own V8! Good for soups, tasty too.
Perfect for adding to soups and sauces. Rich and delicious.
Didn't use it yet. Waiting for my tomato flakes.
Love this stuff. I use it for thickening frozen salsa made with whatever garden tomatoes are at hand. Then I used it for thickening spaghetti sauce made from 3 quarts of the same assorted tomatoes out of the freezer. Way better than trying to do that relaying totally on tomato paste which turns out tasting awful because you need way too much and it ends up with an overcooked flavor. This is not cooked at all and helps preserve that fresh tomato flavor while getting rid of wateriness in your sauce. Wish I'd known about tomato powder long ago!
