It's dried parsley, and it does exactly what you expect. Good color, good flavor for a dried herb, and works just fine for cooking or adding a little garnish. This is one of those basics where it really doesn't make sense to pay more when this does the job perfectly. Simple, affordable, and always handy to have around.
The jar seems small, but when it sprinkles out it spreads so far. You can add this to a myriad of dishes and use it in many ways from garnishing to flavor enhancer to smokey flavor on a BBQ. I like to add mine to broth and gravy to enhance flavor the most.
My Grandmother once owned her own restaurant in Japan and Hawaii. She taught me that Parsley was always added as a garnish but not to throw away! At the end of a meal, it was always reliable to munch on and freshen your breath before breath mints were a thing. Who knew?! It's a great little herb that is used as an intestinal, nutritional and internal deoderizer that's really good for you too!
I'm a Senior on a fixed income and I make everything from scratch at home. I don't go out to eat and I shop the sales. I have to budget myself carefully. I do use dry parsley quite a bit. This parsley allows me to not worry because the price is great. The taste is great and I'm very happy with the product.
Gave it to my son he loves that goat cheese and N blueberries he would like to see y'all raspberry and goat chees e Your brain taste as good as the regular brand would buy it again thank Most of the brands. You have a great.
i got to say coming from a store brand, the freshest flavor, color and scent! so surprised of the freshness and for such a great price, well done walmart
This was the second bottle of this I had bought in 2 months. I know I brought in the first and put it up. Went to use it and it was gone. I don't know who or what took it. lol! I can just see a mouse with this bottle bigger than it was, struggling to move it around. That should teach it not to steal!
The “I tried” finishing touch. Does it completely change the flavor of your meal. No. Does it make it look like you know what you are doing. Absolutely. Great for sprinkling on top of pasta, potatoes, soups, or anything that just needs a little something to feel finished. The flavor is mild, but it adds that fresh look that makes a difference. Not a star ingredient, but a solid supporting character that quietly pulls things together.
Parsley, flakes not Rod. I don't use much parsley. Some pour it on like mudding drywall. Parsley's use in foods is not a lot of revelationary influence. It's more decorative than flavoring, until approaching too much, before which you would do well to apply the brakes, mostly 'cause it leaps from a slight sort of faint savory straight to bitter like nobody's business. That's right. I used to eat many baked potatoes, %26 it looks really appetizing on the butter %26 sour cream, %26 sprinkles of chili powder %26 such. I got away from it while exploring elsewhere, %26 recently realized lack of potato in my dietary desires. Not rejection by any means, I merely prefer other spudly preparations. Fling a bit onto mashed garlic buttermilk taters. Unnecessary, but pretty. See now, that is a part of it right there. Form should follow function. That's why I use cilantro more these days. They appear similar, but cilantro has way more flavor. There is another point of contingency. Parsley is easily grown, while cilantro is more particular %26 refuses to "winter over", or even continue after a light harvesting of that green goodness for dinners
There are certain Items which need to be purchased FRESH, this is one of them. There is no Taste to detect, it is like cutting up a piece of paper, and use this. No a good Idea from the Seller, and maybe for people who cook, just to cook and can say the put this item in the Food, should take cooking lessons. This item, I can honestly say: is a Waste of Money.
