Griddle section stays clean. I have used it 6 times in the last month for 4 to 6 waffles each day. Easy to wipe the outer surfaces after it cools. "Best feature is the top snaps closed by a clip under the handle." This keeps the top from moving up when the batter starts baking an expanding. I would have to place something heavy over my old waffle maker to keep it closed. I wait until the green light turns on, then add the batter (enough to cover all but the last 1/2 inch near the outer edge) let it bake until no more steaming then wait until the green light comes on again. (the green light goes on and off as it reaches the set temperature) You can lift the top plate to check the 'doneness' and close it again if it is not tanned enough. The power cord is just long enough to used on a standard counter top.

Excellent thick fluffy waffles - Convenient size : 4 sections. Deep crevices for butter or syrup - Clean up was just letting it cool then a wipe of a paper towel! Not sure if needed but I seasoned plates earlier in the day then wiped off excess - Cooked cornmeal waffles: no oil added and was beautiful - no residue left behind. Preheating is easy and telling when it comes back to temp is easy - Final cooking time? Maybe I missed something but I just timed and visually checked - Worked! Nice even cook - top and bottom nicely browned - sides browned and crispy. I look forward to my next batch tomorrow - Mmmm. Hope you enjoy yours!

This is my new favorite addition to my kitchen.. as someone who loves waffles I definitely had to give this a try and I have fallen in LOVE. It's so easy to use, clean and the waffles come out tasty and perfect.. I couldn't ask for a better waffle maker.. I promise if you get it you won't be disappointed.

Got this waffle maker on sale it cooks the waffles perfectly and it tastes so good! It's simple to use and cooks the waffles pretty fast too, I had no issues.

Easy to use makes nice thick waffles, I had setting too light though, going to try a medium setting next time I use it because my husband and I like darker waffles

It works well, and I haven't used any oil. It is perfectly non stick so far, and cleanup is easy. Wipe with a clean cloth or paper towel. Any small overspill dries and falls out. The recipe in the book says it makes 4 waffles. It says use 1/3c per waffle, but it takes 3/4c. It will make 2 full waffles with a tad bit left. Be careful and don't overfill too much, because mine popped open. It didn't damage anything but I was startled! I have the thermostat on max and it browns ok. You can always leave it in longer.

was not impressed with the waffles produced. This may be partly due to the type of waffle. If you like cake like waffles, then this may be for you. I could not get a crispy crust no matter what.

At 1100 Watts it doesn't heat up sufficiently to brown the waffle even in the highest setting. I've made waffles my whole life and can easily tell it's not heating up enough. Look for a 1500W waffle maker. I tried several recipes with no improvement. I was excited to see this priced reasonably. I'll probably keep it but i do not recommend!

I liked the style. But it did not brown on the top. Basically uneven cooking. I think it is defective, easy to clean . I used it twice thinking maybe the first time I didn't let it get hot enough even tho the ready light came on. I want to return it.. I re-boxed it. Have to return it

Had to return it, was so difficult to latch %26 turn it, only did it 3 times, very hard to turn %26 afraid I was going to break the handle, plates did not align up properly. Looks well made, wished it would have worked.
