There is only a slight sulfur smell, no bad at all. This soap cleans really well (make-up and all) I've been using it for a week and have seen an improvement in my arm and chest breakouts. Not sure if it's helping my facial acne yet. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This soap does a good job of drying up acne. I use it twice a day. I use a spin face brush with this and I feel my face feels even cleaner. Great natural face soap for those suffering with acne and who want to see improvement.

This soap is phenomenal, my husband suffers from cystic acne and we have tried every product under the sun. This soap is the only thing that cleared his face and kept it clear!!!

VERY gently on my skin and works great at keeping my face and shoulders clear. Love that it is free of any harsh acid/chemicals/fragrance...just a good clean natural soap that really helps my acne. Definitely worth a shot - great value and very effective for me!

Very happy with this product. I tend to break out but I've noticed a great improvement in my skin. My skin is pretty much clear now. I've tried a lot of products and this seemed to work the best. I use Swanson's clear complexion cream too. So not sure if its a combination of the too.

My dermatologist recommended I use a mild sulphur bar soap on my face due to acne rosacea. My skin is so sensitive to soaps, especially bar soaps. Even Dove burned like crazy and left my skin overly dry, cracked, and extremely irritated. I told her about my reaction to all bar soaps, but she said to try a sample bar of her brand. Well, I was determined to prove her wrong. I was wrong. I tried it and was amazed at how nice my face felt. It was not dry, red or irritated like every other bar soap I have ever tried, EVER. I could not believe the results. My problem came in when it cost over $8.00 - for 1 bar! I just knew there had to be a cheaper version of a mild sulphur soap on the market. Swanson came to the rescue again. Thylox Acne Treatment Soap with Sulfur from Grandpa Soap Company is just a fraction of the cost of the dermatologist's brand and every bit as effective. My skin feels clean, soft, and smooth after washing, with no irritation. It seems to be effective on my oily, acne-prone skin. Breakouts are much less frequent and cleared up more quickly. The only drawback is the mild sulphur smell. However, it did not take long to get used to the smell and now I don't even notice it. I love this soap and will use it forever!

I have only been using this product for a week and I have already notice a difference. I get difficult pimples on my chin and when I used this I saw the severity and size of the pimple decreased with just one use. My skin is softer and radiant. I would recommend this product.

I started using this soap for my back, shoulders and chest that definitely has someone noticing red acne bumps. I have been using this everyday for the last month and a half. I am extremely disappointed. My red acne bumps have not gone away and sometimes they even grow into "white heads." It's like its not preventing acne at all, but encouraging it. This personally has not helped me the least.
