It's perfect for a small turkey.

I disliked that the photo advertised like the lid would fit with a small Turkey. Sizing overall was perfect but i will NOT be able to use the lid and thats the biggest reason i chose this item... Not for a turkey like advertised but will work for cooking young chicken.

The pan was wonderful at first. I bought it for Thanksgiving for a turkey roaster. My 10 lb turkey just fit. The pan was everything I expected until I tried to lift the lid to check the turkey. My potholder welded to the lid. I peeled it off and realized the coating from the handle was now melded with the fabric of the holder. My potholder is made of cotton, not synthetic material. When the turkey was ready to come out, I used the holders on the handles and the same thing happened as with the lid. Clean-up was sooo easy, no scrubbing needed. A few weeks later I made a roast in the pan and again all went well except the potholders stuck again. The clean-up was easy, but I noticed a light ring had developed around the edges and a few lightly stained spots remained on the bottom. Three days ago, I made another roast and it was a repeat of before only now when I tried to rub the stains out, some of the coating came off in small spots. That's it for me. I'm going to ask for a refund, and I've already replaced it with the old-fashioned enamel roaster like my mother had.

I don't think the 18.8" one will hold a 12 lb turkey. It's pretty small. It's going back. I also ordered the bigger one, they said it was in the box with this one, but this was the original warehouse box with obviously one small pan in it, with a shipping label stuck on it. Packing slip shoved under box flap says 2 roasters enclosed, I was charged for 2, only got the small one. Now I have to reorder the large one and hope there are no delays. Hope the 19 5" will hold the turkey.

I bought this roasting pan for Thanksgiving because my old agate roaster was in storage after we moved. The description said it would easily handle a 22 pound turkey. When I received it, I thought it seemed small. Well I used it for the turkey, which was only about 18 pounds( couldn't find a bigger one). It barely fit into the bottom pan, leaving almost no room for the giblets. And then the lid was no where near raised enough to fit over the turkey. No possible way to use the lid, had to cover the turkey with foil. I should have just used my older shallow roasting pan with foul and not wasted over $40. Another thing I did not like was that the pan had some type of black dust that wiped off in it. Of course I washed it, but I wondered if it will continue to come off of the surface. This roaster was a big disappointment and a waste if money. You can probably cook a chicken in it okay. I rarely write reviews, but this deserved a negative one. Don't waste your money.

The measurements of this roaster seem way off. It is much smaller than advertised.

I paid a whole lot more for a pan that was supposed to hold a 25 pound turkey. It wouldn't even come close to fitting a 21 pound turkey in the pan with the lid on!! sad thing i didn't even have time to get a different on in time for thanksgiving because they were late sending it.
